The speculations started after Torvalds made changes to a single line in the Linux Kernel. The alteration made by Torvald is ‘Name = I am Satoshi.’
The modification made by Torvald has left crypto enthusiasts wondering whether the Github creator is claiming to be the investor leading cryptocurrency in the world or is it all a prank?
Whatever the case may be, Linus Torvalds could well be the inventor of the world’s most famous cryptocurrency. This is because he is the inventor of Git, and is hence considered to be the producer of blockchain. In short, the odds are in his favor.
That being said, there is no whatsoever confirmation from Torvald that he has any connection regarding the inventor of Bitcoin. His experience with Blockchain is another factor that fits him into the scenario and confirms that he possesses the necessary skillset.

Wright fought the civil trial verdict against the family of a deceased business partner who claimed to be the owner of half of a cryptocurrency’s wealth. When asked to prove himself as the inventor of Bitcoin by the court, Wright backed down.
The crypto community as a whole is ready to accept Wright as the Bitcoin Founder on the condition that he gives evidence that he has access to the legendary cryptocurrency creator wallet.
