Key Insights:
- XRP has shown a TD Sequential buy signal, hinting at a potential short-term price rebound near $2.39.
- Long-term speculation centers around Ripple’s IPO and potential collaboration with SWIFT for global liquidity solutions.
- Despite the optimism, XRP faces resistance at $3 due to low-volume trading and market dynamics.
According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, XRP has flashed a TD Sequential buy signal on the 4-hour chart, hinting at a potential short-term rebound. The indicator appeared just as broader XRP sentiment saw renewed optimism following Ripple IPO speculation, rising long-term interest, and persistent market manipulation concerns.
XRP Price Holds Steady, Market Eyes $3 Level
XRP continues to trade near $2.40, showing resilience despite broader volatility. Data from CoinMarketCap places the current XRP price at $2.3949, slightly down 0.23% on the day. The price recently bounced from a low of $2.28 but has yet to retest the $2.60 zone seen earlier in March.

Seth, a market watcher, stated on X that XRP confirmed a reversal on lower timeframes, suggesting a possible move toward $3.40 if it breaks current resistance.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s recent comments on a possible IPO reignited investor focus. “Ripple IPO is possible, not a priority,” he said. The firm’s $11.3 billion valuation following its Jan. 2024 buyback and backing from investors like Google Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz continues to add to the buzz.
Ripple has raised $318.5 million to date, and insiders now expect a public offering within 12–18 months, though no date has been confirmed.
SWIFT Collaboration Rumors Fuel Long-Term Hype
Speculation around Ripple’s partnership with the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) has added another layer to XRP’s long-term narrative. Reports suggest that XRP may be used as reserve liquidity for cross-border settlements, potentially changing its role in global finance.
RippleNet, powered by XRP Ledger, already works with major financial institutions like American Express and Standard Chartered. However, XRP’s price has yet to reflect these developments. Critics argue that despite the end of Ripple’s legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the asset has failed to break the $3 mark.

Vincent Van Code, a market analyst and developer, dismissed theories of institutional suppression. “There is no hidden plan to suppress XRP price,” he wrote. Instead, he attributed the muted growth to high-frequency trading, arbitrage, and trade dusting in low-volume conditions.
