Litecoin Price May Hit $94 If Bulls Reclaim $89 Breakout Zone

Key Insights:

  • Litecoin price held $86.14 in support after the wedge breakout and faced a $89.60 resistance test.
  • Analysts agree that $85.00–$85.30 remains the key support to confirm a bullish continuation.
  • Reclaiming $89.60 could open the path toward $94–$96 as the next resistance zones emerge.

Litecoin price has made a strong move off its recent lows, reclaiming support around $86 after a textbook breakout from a falling wedge. The technical and sentiment indicators indicate that a break above $89 could be imminent.

Analysts observe convergence in critical zones, indicating a rally to the $94 level and a possible run to the $96 level as long as momentum can be maintained.

Litecoin Price Clears Falling Wedge

Analysts say the Litecoin price recently broke out of a falling wedge, with confirmation coming after it retraced to $86.14 and successfully held that level. This level has been providing major structural support since the middle of June.

The bounce marked a bullish retest, but the sudden surge into the $89.60–$92.00 supply zone was unexpected.

Despite the pullback from $89.60, Litecoin price remains well-supported. The rebound of the bottom of the wedge and the favorable retest raise the chances of a bullish continuation. If bull demand continues to dominate above $85.25, a clean break above the $89.60 ceiling will spotlight the $94-$96 target zone.

The wedge breakout will remain valid if the LTC price stays within this area. Technical confidence has increased with every successful support test.

$85–$87 Zone Emerged as the Critical Bullish Pivot

CryptoJobs also identified the $85.00–$85.30 zone as a key bullish pivot point. Litecoin price surged more than 9% from this level between June 27 and July 4. The breakout structure also corresponded to a descending trendline breakout observed in the 4-hour timeframe, further strengthening the technical setup.

The analyst indicated a support of $87.00 and a resistance of close to $94.00. This zone converges with past price rejection areas in May, hence a strong upside target. If this were to occur at a strong volume, a move beyond $89.60 could probably trigger a test of this level.

In addition, the structure remains bullish, with higher lows forming and previous resistance levels acting as support. So long as Litecoin’s price is above the $85 level, buyers will get the upper hand in the following sessions.

Litecoin Price Bullish Sentiment Ahead of Key Breakout

Meanwhile, CryptoWZRD echoed optimism but urged caution. In his analysis, he described Litecoin’s price as “slightly bullish” and cautioned that the daily high trendline and the $90 resistance barrier should be monitored. He targets intraday setups until a professional break-out sets up on the daily chart.

WZRD pointed out the significance of a clean action beyond $90. Once confirmed, it would set off a breakout toward the target of $96. However, the upcoming U.S. bank holiday might lead to lower liquidity and increased volatility.

The daily chart shared by the analyst showed LTC price testing a downward-sloping resistance stretching back to April. Once cleared, Litecoin price could experience a rapid price rally. In the meantime, the price action will stay within the $85-$90 range.

Derivatives Sentiment Supports LTC Price Rally

CoinGlass data also showed that bullish sentiment increases with constructive technical patterns. On July 4, the LTC/USDT long/short ratio of Binance proved a difference of 69.55 % of accounts in long positions and 30.45 % in short positions. That brings the long/short ratio to 2.28, suggesting a strong preference for upside continuation.

This long-position increase comes just after Litecoin’s price defended its $86 support zone and attempted a move toward $90. The long/short ratio has historically spiked ahead of momentum-based moves, especially with bullish chart patterns.

Nonetheless, excessively long trades can occasionally be followed by nearby corrections. This indicates that sentiment will support it, but the Bulls must maintain key support and break resistance without any liquidation reversals.

If Litecoin price breaks above $89.60 and holds, the elevated long positioning could accelerate the move toward $94–$96 as short positions unwind. Conversely, breaking above $90 would bring some profit-taking until support around $85.30 is reinforced.
