Dogecoin price showed a familiar chart pattern that some analysts believed could set the stage for a bigger move.
On September 6, 2025, Dogecoin price traded at about $0.2145 with a market value of $32.35 billion.
Amid the bullish sentiment brewing, a new exchange-traded fund filing also placed the coin in the spotlight.
Analyst Notes Pattern in Dogecoin Price Cycles
A post shared by analyst Dima Potts drew attention to the way Dogecoin behaved in past cycles.
The chart showed that momentum is often built when the price comes near two trend lines. When the coin crossed a third line, the move was followed by a sharp rise.
In the first cycle, Dogecoin jumped 9,221% soon after the crossover. The second cycle delivered an even stronger rally, climbing 24,617% under the same setup.
The analyst said the current cycle had already cleared the first point and was now close to the resistance line again.

The view suggested that another rally could follow if the coin moved above that level. It was also noted that each past cycle outpaced the one before it.
Factors supporting a repeat included wider adoption, reduced inflation, rising interest from institutions, and steady technical updates to the network.
It is worth noting that the analysis did not claim Dogecoin would reach $10 but suggested the setup was one to watch.
The $10 figure was raised as a possible outcome only if the same cycle pattern played out again.
Dogecoin’s Role in the Crypto Market
Dogecoin began in December 2013 when software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer created it as a lighthearted project.
It was based on the popular “Doge” meme of a Shiba Inu dog. Though it started as a joke, it was built on blockchain technology and allowed peer-to-peer payments.
Over time, Dogecoin became known for quick transactions and low costs. This made it popular for tipping online, small payments, and community projects.
It was also used in charity efforts, with members of the community funding causes and events around the world.

By 2025, Dogecoin had grown far beyond its meme origins. It remained a top-ten digital asset, ranked number eight by market value.
The memecoin’s simple design and active community kept it in regular use, even as other tokens focused on complex features.
Its story showed that cultural value and community backing could help a coin last.
Dogecoin ETF Proposal Adds to Market Interest
It is worth noting that while traders watched the price chart, Dogecoin also entered the world of regulated investment products.
Grayscale, Bitwise, and 21shares filed for a spot Dogecoin ETF earlier this year. Analysts are now pointing to 90% approval odds before the end of 2025.
In a recent development, REX-Osprey, an asset manager, filed for a Dogecoin exchange-traded fund.
The filing said that at least 80% of the fund would be invested in Dogecoin or related products.
These would include direct holdings, futures, and swaps that tracked the price.
The rest could be kept in government bonds or cash to support daily operations. The ETF would rely on third-party custodians to hold the assets.
The filing noted that problems with these custodians could affect performance. REX-Osprey had already handled other crypto products. It previously managed a Solana Staking ETF.
Market participants say that the Dogecoin ETF was proposed at a time when coins tied to online culture were again attracting attention.
Both individual traders and larger firms had been looking for new ways to gain exposure to such assets.
The filing added to the debate over whether mainstream investors might soon gain simpler access to Dogecoin through traditional markets.
