XRP price is poised for a key test after analysts flagged possible drops to as low as $2.08. Multiple market experts highlighted essential support levels and historical trends that could influence next steps.
While some foresaw pressure in the short term, others pointed to longer-term fundamentals and upcoming ETF catalysts.
XRP Price Could Drop Toward $2.08
EGRAG Crypto warned of potential sharp Ripple price declines from past market cycles. In April 2025, the XRP price fell about 24%, followed by a 13% drop in June. He averaged these out at 18.5% decline, suggesting there could be levels at about $2.21 if history repeats.
EGRAG highlighted three key downside levels for XRP. These include $2.37 (13% drop), $2.21 (average), and $2.08 (24% decline). He added that a close below $1.90 on the 3-day chart could indicate additional sell-off and invalidate bullish setups.

The accompanying chart showed Ripple price trading within a long-term ascending channel. EGRAG pointed to the Bull Market Support Band as a key guide. Staying above this band is essential to avoid deeper corrections and to keep the larger bullish structure intact.
XRP Price Range and Long-Term Outlook
However, Dominus had a contrasting long-term view. He viewed the XRP price between $2.5 and $3.5 as an opportunity for patient investors.
Dominus highlighted the massive 60,000% surge of Ripple in 2017. He also noted its steady top-10 market cap ranking despite the 2020 SEC lawsuit and a 75% price drop.

Dominus highlighted Ripple’s network of more than 300 financial partners and central bank collaborations. He thought the end of the SEC case would remove one of their critical barriers. This could pave the way for renewed institutional adoption.
He argued that this backdrop sets the stage for the next major cycle of the XRP price. Regulatory clarity could unlock large-scale financial integration.
He cited the forthcoming central bank digital currency (CBDC) projects in Europe and other countries as drivers for Ripple’s technology. According to Dominus, these factors can sustain XRP’s relevance and make temporary price dips less significant for long-term holders.
ETF Filings Create a Catalyst for XRP Price
Meanwhile, John Squire concentrates on next year’s iterations with exchange-traded fund (ETF) developments. He tracked pending U.S. SEC filings for multiple XRP ETFs with October deadlines.
Names like Grayscale, 21Shares, and Franklin Templeton await their decisions between Oct. 18 and Nov. 14.

However, Squire quickly pointed out that successful approvals could release investor confidence and attract substantial inflows. An ETF listing indicates mainstream adoption and can bring stability and liquidity to the market.
The filings range from billions to over $100 Billion in assets under management. This indicates significant institutional interest. These developments offset short-term downside risks. They could further drive strong upward momentum, Squire said, if regulatory clearance occurs in time.
Ripple Key Technical Gap
Ali noted a major structural discrepancy in Ripple on-chain data. He observed a realized price gap between $2.73 and $2.51, hence a thin liquidity band. This could allow the XRP price to move quickly through that range if selling pressure mounts.

Ali’s chart displayed some clumped realized prices above and below the gap. This indicates great potential for fast moves toward stronger support levels. He recommended that traders pay attention to how the price reacts to the gap to take advantage of any short-term volatility.
