Ethereum price trades close to $3,800 after several failed attempts to break through higher resistance levels. The asset has been consolidating within a narrow range.
This is a sign of uncertainty among traders. Some analysts expect a drop back to $3,500. Others predict an ETH price rally toward $4,800 in the coming weeks.
Ethereum Price Stays Within a Crucial Range
When writing, the Ethereum price is consolidating between $3,500 and $4,800. This is a significant area of market direction. Analyst Ali Martinez pointed to ETH’s sideways range as an example of hesitation as traders await a breakout.

He pointed out that $3,500 is the key support zone and $4,800 is a firm ceiling. This setup has been ongoing for weeks, with a thinning of volume as investors evaluate potential catalysts. If ETH price regains the $4,250 level with strong momentum, it could easily shoot toward $4,800.
However, Martinez said that a close below $3,800 could signal the beginning of another correction. This may cause the Ethereum price to retest $ 3,500 before stabilizing.
The market remains indecisive and is waiting for clear trading signals. Traders are watching to see if buyers can take control above the short-term resistance.
Bulls Strive to Reclaim Momentum Near $3,800
Meanwhile, analyst Heisenberg believed that bulls must hold the rising blue trendline to avoid deeper losses. He said the ETH price must break above the “green neutral zone” of $3,800–$4,100. Only then can it regain momentum with conviction.
This neutral zone has capped the upward moves for over a year now, providing significant resistance. Beyond that, the next target is $4,900 to $5,000, which represents a historical double top formation.

According to Heisenberg, Ethereum’s trend will continue to be constructive as long as it stays above $3,800. Yet, a break below that level may be a magnet for sharp selling to $3,400, erasing recent gains.
On top of that, he cited the fact that last week’s short-lived dip below $3,600 reset positions, clearing short-term liquidity. Whether Ethereum price holds its ground above support or breaks lower will determine the next direction for momentum traders.
Van de Poppe’s Bullish Outlook on Ethereum Price Next Rally
Crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe is more optimistic. He described the recent correction as a healthy phase in the market. He added that Ethereum has passed a retest of past resistance levels and is getting ready for the next upward cycle.
Van de Poppe anticipates the ETH price will reach $10,000 once it decisively breaks through $4,200. He compared the present structure to accumulation phases that preceded major rallies in the past.
In his view, fundamentals such as Ethereum staking flows and network adoption are strong despite short-term volatility.

He added that there is a healthy low structure in the market with higher lows forming regularly since mid-year. According to him, “the bull market is far from over.” This suggests that the long-term trajectory of the Ethereum price remains bullish.
The next few weeks, he said, will be critical as buyers try to regain lost momentum. A clean daily close above $4,250 would confirm his bullish scenario and a possible new rally wave.
Pullbacks Seen as Accumulation Opportunities
Analyst Kamran Asghar viewed current pullbacks as strategic accumulation opportunities. He identified the $3,800 support zone as a suitable entry point for long-term buyers.
Asghar’s chart indicates a short-term rebound to $4,448, followed by a rise to $4,727. He sees the ETH price retesting its descending trendline several times before a sustained breakout.

Furthermore, he pointed out that strong demand within the green zone continues to put up selling pressure. This accumulation trend may boost ETH’s recovery when market sentiment is better.
Asghar determined that as long as support remained above $3,800, the wider structure would remain bullish. With institutional interest in the return, the Ethereum price is likely to rise once again.
