Chainlink price is holding steady near $16 as traders await a clear breakout from a long-term triangle pattern. Analysts agree that LINK’s next move is dependent on whether it can break above major resistance. However, rising hopes for a potential Chainlink ETF have sparked renewed interest in the token’s prospects.
Chainlink Price Stuck Between $13 and $26 Range
Analyst Ali observed that Chainlink price is consolidating in a symmetrical triangle, creating a no-trade zone between $13 and $26. He termed this range a tightening structure, in which volatility is squeezing before a major move. According to him, the breakout direction will mark Chainlink’s next big trend.

Ali said the current structure represents uncertainty among traders awaiting confirmation. He thinks that the breakout outside of this triangle would be a signal for LINK to continue its uptrend or to extend its correction. The weekly chart shows repeated rejections near $26, with support near $13 holding firm.
He stressed that traders be patient within this range, as early exits are not without risk. A breakout above $26 could fuel bullish momentum, potentially reaching $40, while a breakdown under $13 would confirm weakness. For now, though, the market is neutral with buyers and sellers in equal measure.
Monthly Chart Targets $72 Breakout Zone
Analyst James Easton said Chainlink’s monthly structure “looks like a gift from the bull gods.” He expects a long-term breakout with a rally to $72 after the price clears resistance. His chart showed that LINK has formed a descending triangle that has compressed over multiple years in preparation for an expansion.

He explained the higher lows that have been repeating since 2022, indicating sustained accumulation. This phase of base-building is similar to some of the setups that preceded exponential growth in Chainlink’s history. Once the price breaks through the $30 level with confirmation, he expects a sharp rally.
James said institutional demand could factor into the next wave of capital into LINK. He sees the emerging ETFs as a trigger for renewed confidence among large investors. The monthly trendline breakout, he noted, would align with the overall bullish momentum in leading altcoins.
Near-Term Outlook Turns Cautious
Trader CryptoWZRD noted that both LINK and LINKBTC were closing bearish on the daily chart, indicating weakness in Bitcoin dominance. He said more buying pressure is needed from LINKBTC to restore bullish sentiment. Until that happens, he expects sideways movement with resistance around $16 and $20.

In his technical note, WZRD emphasized that it is critical to keep support above $15.40. A break below that level would reveal the $13.50 zone, and this would be a bearish setup. However, if LINK can find a new lease on life, it could head for the $16.90-$20 range.
He added that the intraday chart remains volatile, but it has not yet confirmed a reversal. The focus, he said, should be on the maturation of chart formations that sustain trends. For now, he sees it having limited upside unless Bitcoin stabilizes and boosts market sentiment.
Chainlink ETF Sparks Optimism
According to Wise Advice, a Bitwise Chainlink ETF has been added to the DTCC list, a standard pre-launch path for ETFs in the U.S. This development suggests the fund could soon start trading, which is attracting significant attention to Chainlink’s market activity. The listing indicates institutional interest returning to the project.

The firm stated that ETF approval could help instill confidence in Chainlink as a core DeFi infrastructure asset. If trading begins, it would be the first spot ETF linked to LINK, which could boost liquidity and market exposure.
Wise Advice went on to say that ETF speculation is already changing sentiment, with LINK holding firm despite broader market uncertainty. Investors are watching prices near $16 for any signs of renewed strength. A confirmed breakout could coincide with the ETF debut, driving momentum across the crypto market as a whole.
