Crypto liquidations reached $1.35 billion in one day as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP fell to new lows. Notably, the sell-off spread across major exchanges worldwide, pushing several large assets to levels not seen in weeks.
Liquidations Climbed as Traders Closed Out Losing Positions
Crypto liquidations rose sharply during the past 24 hours. The heatmap data showed that total liquidations reached $1.35 billion. Bitcoin led the losses with about $671.36 million.
Ethereum followed with $296.65 million. Solana added $88.55 million, while a wide group of other coins made up more than $86 million.

Meanwhile, a large number of traders saw their positions closed. The count passed 272,998 during the day. One of the biggest single losses took place on HTX in the BTC-USDT pair, reaching $44.29 million.
Long positions made up most of the day’s total. Liquidated long positions passed $1.16 billion. Short positions added another $179.48 million. Additionally, several exchanges carried heavy volumes. Bybit listed liquidations worth $36.80 million.
Binance followed with $34.06 million. OKX saw $14.97 million in losses, and Hyperliquid recorded $11.28 million. Other exchanges posted much smaller totals.
However, the largest liquidation event on record remained the entry marked on October 10, 2025, which showed liquidations worth $19.16 billion.
Other major entries came from 2021 and 2022, involving market shocks linked to policy, regulation, or large shifts in leverage. These past figures set the background for how quickly the market reacted during stressful periods.
Major Coins Posted Broad Losses Across the Market
It is worth mentioning that crypto prices fell across the board as the day went on.
According to CoinMarketCap data, Bitcoin price traded at $97,132.47 after a 24-hour drop of 4.04%. More so, the seven-day chart also showed a decline of 4.10%. Ethereum traded at $3,244.75 after a daily fall of 3.96%. XRP traded at $2.31 and showed a 4.13% drop on the day.
Solana traded at $143.21 after falling 5.80% in 24 hours. Many mid-sized coins also moved lower. Meanwhile, Avalanche, Sui, and Chainlink each showed declines between 5% and 13%. Dogecoin fell 4.84% while Hyperliquid slipped 2.08% on the day as of writing.
Most stablecoins stayed close to their marks. USDT traded at $0.9995 and USDC held near $0.9999. Market value across the sector fell as losses spread through large and small assets.
Essentially, the decline in prices coincided with the wave of liquidations. As major coins slipped, leveraged positions triggered further sell-offs.
Analyst Outlined a Bear Market Pattern, Many Traders Discussed
In a recent social media post, a market analyst shared a view that gained attention during the decline. The outline described a cycle that the analyst referred to as “bear market astrology.”

The idea suggested that long-term Bitcoin holders sell when the price moves above $100,000. That’s because the round number acted as a major psychological level. Once the price falls below that point, the same group tends to wait.
Similarly, the analysis claimed that holders of exchange-traded fund positions often sell faster when the price slips under $100,000. This group included both retail buyers and fund managers who reacted quickly to trend changes.
The pattern suggested that heavy selling could continue until prices settled in the $80,000 to $90,000 area. Long-term buyers might slowly return once selling pressure eases.
The view also described a possible short rally back toward the $100,000 level. That rise could make some traders believe the market has recovered.
After that bounce, the view suggested that weaker macro conditions could push prices toward the $60,000 to $70,000 zone for a later consolidation period. A final leg down might appear before a new cycle begins.
