Ethereum Price Prediction: Bitmine Stakes 74,880 ETH as $3,000 Looms

Bitmine Immersion, an Ethereum treasury company, has started staking Ether, based on on-chain data shared by traders. The transfers totaled 74,880 ETH, valued at $219 million during the moves. The activity arrives as Ethereum price trades below $3,000, and leverage pools sit close to the price.

Ethereum Price Prediction: Bitmine Staking Ties to Treasury Goals

Wallet trackers posted multiple Bitmine-linked addresses sending ETH into staking deposit routes. Observers described the deposits as the company’s first visible staking batch. The transfers were landed through batch deposit addresses used for validator onboarding.

The move adds protocol yield to a treasury strategy that focused on accumulation. Earlier statements from the firm referenced plans for a “Made in America Validator Network,” or MAVAN. Chief executive Tom Lee said the network would scale over the coming quarter.

Moreover, the Ethereum news also stated that Bitmine still holds approximately $10.759 billion in Ethereum that could be staked later. Some reports place its Ether stack at nearly 4.06 million ETH, worth approximately $11.9 billion at recent prices.

With estimated staking yields near 3.2%, analysts said returns could grow if more ETH is allocated. Reports also linked the plan to a goal of owning approximately 5% of the circulating ETH. The Ethereum news noted that the firm is currently at 3.4% today.

Other reports cited unrealized losses between $3.5 billion and $4.2 billion as Ethereum pulled back. Some Ethereum treasury peers were reportedly trimming their holdings. However, Bitmine was linked to a $199.4 million ETH purchase in one day.

Ethereum Liquidations Cluster Near $3,000 and $2,900

A liquidation heatmap shared by an analyst revealed two nearby pockets where forced orders may be triggered. On the upside, short liquidation exposure was flagged around the $3,000 handle. A quick push above that level can force short covering and accelerate a move. Traders often describe these bands as magnets when funding and leverage build.

The heatmap image showed heavier activity around the round-number band, suggesting concentrated stops and take-profits. Traders often watch for a fast wick above $3,000, then a retest, before treating the break as confirmed again.

On the downside, long liquidations were marked below $2,900, creating a potential flush zone. A drop under $2,900 can push leveraged longs into market sells and deepen the move. If a cascade starts, Ethereum price can overshoot before stabilizing near resting bids. Because the clusters are close, intraday moves can flip direction quickly.

Near-term Ethereum price predictions center on whether the price tag will be $3,000 or $2,900 first. A sustained break above $3,000 can flip that area into support and invite follow-through buying. Traders often look for repeated closes above the level and stronger spot volume. If that happens, attention can shift to overhead supply from prior breakdown zones.

Ethereum Price Prediction: Stoch RSI Crossover Adds a Momentum Shift

A separate chart showed Ethereum’s Stochastic RSI printing a bullish crossover again. The commentator noted that prior crossovers sometimes preceded extended upside runs. One referenced instance was followed by a near 200% rally into cycle highs.

Even so, analysts typically treat oscillators as supportive evidence, not a stand-alone trigger. A crossover can fail if Ethereum price stays capped under resistance or if macro risk sentiment weakens.

For Ethereum price prediction, traders are watching $3,000 as resistance and $2,900 as support. A break above $3,000, accompanied by rising open interest, could alter positioning. A breakdown below $2,900 may reset funding and open interest.
