Bitcoin Price Meets Resistance: Consolidation Or Breakout Ahead?
  • Bitcoin price has stalled at $95K resistance after bouncing from $90K support.
  • The Realized Cap Impulse and fear-to-greed index reflect cautious sentiment.

Bitcoin’s (BTC) price experienced a bounce from its support zone of $90K and retested the $95K resistance zone. It met the 50-day EMA mark and signaled a significant move ahead.

The current price action indicated that the Bitcoin price could resume the downward move to $85,000. It could also ensnare the bear cartel by retesting the $100k threshold.

At press time, the BTC price was trading at $95,007. Furthermore, the token noted a rise of over 1.45% in the past 24 hours. Its market cap stood at $1.88 Trillion, and the fear-to-greed index shifted from extreme greed to greed, implying a change in sentiment.

Assessing Bitcoin Price Volatility during Consolidation Phases

Bitcoin price drawdown analysis showed that the volatility resulted from the consolidation phase. In 2023, it declined to over 8.9, but it was very different from the previous cycles.

The drawdown, however, rose to 12% and became more volatile during the ongoing consolidation period. In the prior consolidation period, the maximum drawdown was significantly greater.

Compared to this phase, it attained 26% of its highest value. This demonstrated how much the Bitcoin price has fluctuated under uncertain market conditions. It also showed how investors need to be on the lookout for declines.

Investors and traders can assess the market’s stability thanks to these notable swings. The SMA-30d stabilized at 12% from its top, further indicating that the momentum of the BTC price overlaid the declines. However, the market had reached a critical point.

Market Dynamics & Realized Cap Impulse During Bitcoin’s Consolidation Phase

Once the Realized Cap Impulse and long-term Realized Cap Impulse indicators reached local resistance levels, they began to decline. However, investor activity has increased recently. Consequently, this drop suggested that the momentum driving realized capitalization was reducing.

However, the market failed to maintain a significant shift in capital dynamics. That indicated constraints among market players. This reversal showed that the consolidation phase had begun. Apart from that, there could be some short-term bearish pressure on the Bitcoin price.

Realized Cap Impulse values were below the peaks in past bullish cycles such as 2017 and 2021. This indicated that the trend had not yet peaked but was still in the accumulation phase.

Bitcoin Price Analysis: Is a Bounce Toward $100k on the Cards?

Bitcoin price analysis on the daily timeframe showed a consolidating pattern. This happened as it hovered around the 50-day EMA mark. It does not give clear signs of trend continuation or reversal.

Despite last week’s decline to $90K, buyers accumulated heavily, and it approaches the $95k hurdle. However, the BTC price has now aimed to cross the 20-day EMA for a significant upmove toward the $100K mark.

The RSI curve and ADX indicator still depicted the uptrend, as the value stayed positive. Looking at the derivatives market, the Open Interest (OI) surged over 0.90% to $60.70 Billion. That highlighted fresh, long additions in the past 24 hours.

The immediate support levels for the Bitcoin price were $93,780 and $92000. At the same time, the upside hurdles were $97,720 and $99000.
