Cathie Wood is making headlines today with the Ethereum news, having backed Japan’s first Ethereum Treasury firm, Quantum Solutions, which purchased 2,365 ETH in just seven days.
The move marks a new step in Ethereum’s global adoption among institutions, as investors await a price recovery following recent volatility.
Quantum Solutions Leads Japan’s First Ethereum Treasury
Cathie Wood, the Founder and CEO of ARK Invest, has voiced support for Japan’s first Ethereum Treasury firm, Quantum Solutions.
The company reported buying 2,365 ETH within a week, a move that now makes it the largest Ethereum Digital Asset Treasury outside the United States.
Francis B. Zhou from Quantum Solutions shared an update on social media, stating that the company will continue to add more ETH.
The announcement comes as interest in holding Ethereum as part of company treasuries continues to grow.
Wood said expanding access to new financial tools is an important goal for ARK Invest.

Her backing of Quantum Solutions demonstrates growing interest from global investors in digital assets like Ethereum.
The partnership aims to help Japan’s financial market join the wider trend of blockchain use by institutions.
The firm’s ETH purchase occurs approximately three months after the start of what some refer to as the DAT revolution. It refers to companies holding digital assets as part of their reserves.
This signals that more traditional financial institutions are beginning to treat Ethereum as a long-term investment.
Ethereum News: ETH Holds the Lead in Institutional Activity
A recent chart shared by analyst Joseph Young shows data from venture capital firm a16z, which highlights Ethereum’s dominance in the market.
The total value locked (TVL) across all blockchains is nearing $100 billion, with Ethereum making up the largest share by far.

The chart shows Ethereum ahead of other networks such as Solana, Avalanche, and Base.
It indicates that Ethereum continues to lead in decentralized finance (DeFi) activity, where users lock their tokens into projects to earn returns or provide liquidity.
The large amount of value locked on Ethereum supports the view that it remains the backbone of institutional crypto activity.
Notably, as more firms like Quantum Solutions join the space, Ethereum’s position in both finance and technology is likely to continue growing.
ETH Price Faces Resistance but May Rebound
In separate Ethereum news, the price of Ethereum saw a brief recovery after touching support but remains below the key $4,100 level.
Market watcher Ted Pillows noted that while ETH bounced from a crucial support zone, it still looks weak and could retrace recent gains if it fails to hold above $3,800.
He added that until ETH reclaims $4,100 with strong inflows from large investors, any short-term rallies may not last.

Analysts from Coinglass reported that Ethereum experienced $169 million in futures liquidations in a single day, with $119.1 million resulting from long positions.
The price of ETH dropped below $3,800 before bouncing near the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA).
If it falls below $3,470, the next possible support could be around $2,850. To regain strength, the Ethereum price needs to turn the $4,100 resistance into support.
Technical indicators, such as the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), still indicate weak momentum.
Even with short-term pressure, continued interest from institutions like ARK Invest and Quantum Solutions may help restore confidence over time.
Amid the broad bullish Ethereum news, investors are watching to see whether ETH can build a stronger base before its next major move.
