Key Highlights:
- Bitcoin nears $95K, but buy pressure delta drops to just 6.578
- Ethereum sees rejection near $2,800 with weakening bullish momentum
- BNB and SOL struggle near resistance as seller dominance re-emerges
Buy-side pressure is weakening across Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), and Solana (SOL). As a result, major cryptocurrencies are starting to lose momentum, signaling a potential market slowdown.
Alphractal data indicates that all four assets are struggling to maintain recent gains. They are facing resistance at higher price levels, slowing their upward momentum. As buyer strength has declined, the recent rally is called into question.
Bitcoin’s Momentum Slows Despite Price Nearing $95,000
Bitcoin price has approached $95,000, marking a significant milestone. However, the buy/sell pressure delta chart indicates flat buyer strength, suggesting a slowdown in upward momentum.
The green buy pressure area, dominant on previous upward moves, has thinned out. According to the latest data, buy pressure is 0.387, sell pressure is 0.239, and delta is 6.578.

Earlier rallies had much stronger buying strength, helping sustain upward momentum. In late January 2025, pressure deltas exceeded 30, reflecting heightened bullish activity.
However, current levels indicate buyers are less aggressive. Price is still rising, but weaker demand indicates that traders are becoming more cautious.

A long/short ratio chart indicates that 63.76% of Binance users have taken short positions on Bitcoin, reflecting bearish sentiment. This surge in short trades adds further pressure, potentially limiting upward price movement.
The overall ratio is 0.57, and only 36.24% are long. Usually, when most traders are positioning against price increases, they are nervous or expect a pullback.
Ethereum (ETH) Faces Repeated Rejection Around $2,800
The recent price climb of ETH towards $2,800 is mixed. The delta of buy pressure is 0.575, and the sell pressure is 0.385; hence, the delta is 6.346. The levels are lower than Ethereum’s previous rally, which was nearly $3,600 in January 2025.

The sell-side pressure on the ETH chart lasted for an extended period from mid-February to mid-April. Sustained bearish trading activity was reflected through multiple dips into negative delta territory below -40.
Buyers have returned over the past two weeks, showing renewed market interest. However, the green bars remain smaller, indicating that the recovery attempt lacks strong momentum.
Bitcoin has bounced back from lows near $1,500, showing some recovery. However, the lack of strong buying momentum signals a potential pause before the next upward move. If buying volume does not increase near resistance, ETH may consolidate or retrace.
Binance Coin Holds $600, but Buy Pressure Has Thinned
The chart of BNB also bears a similar pattern, where recent gains are not backed by buying activity. Buy pressure is 0.128, sell pressure is 0.259, and delta is 1.263. This is the least of the four tracked assets.

BNB price has dropped from highs near $720 in February to around $620. Recently, larger red sell-pressure zones have been displayed, while green areas have shrunk. These figures reveal that sellers still dominate many sessions, despite short-term attempts to move higher.
A narrowing buy/sell delta range indicates that buyers are unwilling to commit to the current price levels. BNB could have difficulty breaking above the $640 resistance zone if bulls cannot muster stronger pressure.
Solana Rebounds But Meets Resistance Near $160
Since its April low of nearly $100, Solana has recovered and is now trading around $160. However, the buying activity is fading, just like other significant assets. The current buy pressure is 0.458, the sell pressure is 0.578, and the delta is 6.227. This slight imbalance indicates that sellers are starting to get back in control.

The SOL chart shows that previous strong buy momentum was in early January when pressure levels crossed 80, pushing the token above $280. Buy-side pressure has not reached similar levels since then. The green zones have been smaller and less sustained, even rebounding in late April.
The price is in a short-term uptrend, but the overall setup weakens enthusiasm from bulls. Unless new buyers come in, SOL may continue to be trapped under key resistance if this trend continues.
If traders watch these significant assets, they may need to see more favourable ratios and stronger buying volume to confirm a longer-term bullish breakout. Otherwise, another cooling phase may be in the works for the market.
