Key Highlights:
- TRON now hosts over half of all circulating USDT, totalling $80.7 billion in supply
- The network processed $684 billion in USDT transfers during May 2025 alone
- Daily transactions have nearly doubled since late 2023, with high success and minimal gas fees
TRON has solidified its position in the stablecoin market. It now holds over 80 billion USDT on its blockchain. More than 50% of the total USDT supply operates on TRON.
This makes it the primary global settlement layer for stablecoin transfers. This jump is a milestone for the Layer 1 network because it has moved beyond speculation to practical use.
TRON Dominates Stablecoin Market with $80B USDT Milestone
TRON’s USDT supply has now exceeded $80.7 billion, representing over half of all circulating USDT globally.
The network’s stablecoin settlement dominance reflects its technical scalability and growing institutional use. As of June 2025, TRON hosts the majority of on-chain USDT transactions worldwide.

This growth is not purely numerical; it reflects a major utility shift. In May 2025 alone, TRON processed $684 billion in USDT transfer volume, setting a monthly record.
Despite a slight cooling in June, overall engagement remains strong, supported by consistent daily transaction activity and increasing protocol revenue.
The emergence of TRON is based on affordability, throughput, and reliability. The daily transactions have increased by more than 300%, from 5 million transactions in late 2023 to almost 9 million. The network has a transaction success rate of over 99.3% in 30 days, even during high load or volatility.
Explosive Growth in USDT Transactions Driving TRON’s Surge
According to CryptoQuant data, users still prefer TRON due to low fees. Although there has been a minor rise in gas consumption, the average charges are low compared to the competitors.

This cost-effectiveness remains appealing to high-frequency users and remittance flows, where even small savings can be substantial.
The number of transfers and transfer amounts remain elevated. Over 500 million USDT transfers have occurred on TRON in 2025, indicating retail and institutional interest. The growth in transaction count and stablecoin minting points to a durable and broadening user base.

Large-scale USDT mints and whale-level activity also highlight confidence in the network’s liquidity and execution. Many institutional players now use TRON rails for cross-border transactions, reflecting a pivot from Ethereum-based operations.
The result is increasing network value, not just token speculation. TRON’s position in the broader stablecoin market is also clear when examining aggregate supply trends.
While USDC and DAI have plateaued or declined, USDT on TRON has sharply increased. TRON now handles more stablecoin traffic than any other blockchain, including Ethereum.
TRON’s Tokenomics Driving Blockchain Expansion with Deflationary Model
On the tokenomics front, the token burn rate remains higher than the generation rate. The network has been burning more TRX than it creates over the last year. Each day, an average of over 1 million TRX is burned, which helps to maintain value and long-term scarcity.

Gas fee measures also demonstrate increasing utility without a user burden. The percentage of gas usage in TRON has been on an upward trend in 2024 and 2025. The 30-day average and the daily values also support the heightened chain activity associated with the increased use of USDT.
The transaction net change on a 30-day moving average basis is also positive. This means that there is sustained new transaction growth and not churn. The daily throughput increases as more people join the network and make high-value transfers.

The dominance of stablecoin transfers has ensured that TRON is a core component of crypto financial plumbing. It is now the main option for high-frequency stablecoin transfer in trading desks and remittance operators.
With the ongoing shift of the traditional dollar rails to stablecoins, the token infrastructure is at the heart of it. All in all, the fact that it has managed to exceed the amount of $80 Billion in USDT supply is not just a milestone.
It is a permanent change in crypto infrastructure. TRON is the most successful stablecoin settlement layer with strong transaction success, growing real-world usage, and sustainable tokenomics.
