Ethereum ETFs, Bitcoin ETFs Log $376M Inflows as Outflows Vanish

U.S.-listed spot crypto ETFs, including Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, registered a significant inflow on September 18. It totaled about $376 Million in net inflows. This burst followed several muted or negative flows during the month.

Ethereum ETFs Record $213M as Fidelity Leads Allocations

Ethereum ETFs led the market rebound with $213.07 Million in new subscriptions. Bitcoin ETFs followed closely, attracting $163 Million.

The surge reflects renewed investor confidence in crypto-based funds. There were no outflows in the 21 spot funds in both categories. This is a rare occasion of homogeneous issuer demand.

The FETH product of Fidelity attracted $159.4 Million, which made most of the activity in the sector. Other funds such as Bitwise, VanEck, and Grayscale also recorded consistent inflows, albeit at a lower scale.

The daily flow table figures reveal a clean sheet of green entries on September 18. This may be compared to previous September sessions that had high withdrawals. In one day, this involved an over $300 Million loss on September 5.

Ethernet ETFs managed assets are over $30.5 billion, with ETH near the spot price of nearly $4,500. It has been on a gradual recovery since the beginning of summer.

Bitcoin ETFs Recover Following Mid-Month Redemptions

Bitcoin ETFs also came back on track. Net inflows of $163 Million reversed the outflows of $51.3 million recorded on September 17. This was mainly the result of the redemption of FBTC of Fidelity and GBTC of Grayscale.

It was the first day since early August that all Bitcoin ETFs have recorded positive flows in one day. This recovery is indicated in the chart of fund activity. In this, the red bars indicate the outflows that faded as new capital came into the market.

Visual data received by SoSoValue gives more evidence of an increase in sentiment. The chart shows a steady rise in assets under management since late June. Alternating inflows and outflows occasionally disrupt this upward trend.

September 18 has been one of the largest one-day inflows since the middle of August. All tracked funds were in motion to the higher.

The fact that there was no red on that date speaks to the scope of participation. At the same time, the white line that follows a total net assets trend remains in the upward direction.

Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs Gaining More Traction

Flows have strengthened recently. The U.S. SEC simplified the process for listing spot cryptocurrency ETFs. The easier procedure has boosted investor confidence.

New rules allow major exchanges like Nasdaq, NYSE, and Cboe to approve spot digital-asset products more easily. They can use broad guidelines instead of detailed case-by-case reviews. This change speeds up the listing process significantly.

The new structure will likely make products related to Solana, XRP, and other tokens accessible in the coming months. U.S. crypto ETF net assets have been rising steadily.

The growth began with the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024. Ethereum ETFs followed soon after, adding momentum. Increased SEC disclosure has helped boost investor confidence.

ETF Regulatory Info | Source: X

Day-to-day operations in crypto ETFs tend to be volatile. However, the high performance of September 18 shows the stability of demand towards the regulated exposure to Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Having new listing standards lays the groundwork for introducing more products. ETFs are gaining even more ground as a transitional tool between established capital markets and the rapidly developing digital-asset ecosystem.

Ether and Bitcoin are at the forefront of these changes. They have been a constant focus of those asset managers interested in clear, fungible, and institutionally acceptable exposure.
