Solana ETFs recorded $6.1 Million in net inflows yesterday. Positive flows have continued for three straight trading days. Institutional interest in SOL is rising ahead of expected approval decisions.
Bitwise Investment Advisers submitted its fifth amendment to the SEC on October 8. The product is now officially named the “Bitwise Solana Staking ETF.” It features a competitive annual management fee of 0.20%.
Bitwise’s Staking Strategy Signals Momentum for Solana ETFs
Bitwise Investment Advisers updated its SEC filing to include “Staking” in the ETF’s official name. This marks a notable step forward for Solana ETFs. This shows the fund’s secondary investment objective to “derive additional Solana through staking.”
The amended filing establishes a 0.20% unitary management fee covering all operational expenses. This also positions the product as one of the lowest-cost options in the crypto ETF market.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas called Bitwise’s pricing aggressive. He said the firm is “not playing around” with its low fee strategy.
The analyst commented that the firm “figured it’s gonna end up there anyway, so just do it now.” He described the move as a “veteran Terrordome move right there.”

The pricing strategy undercuts the existing REX-Osprey Solana Staking ETF (SSK), which charges an annual fee of 0.75%. The fee waiver program provides zero management fees for the first three months. It ends sooner if assets under management hit $1 Billion.
This calculated approach mirrors the successful launches of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. There, low initial fees have historically correlated with more substantial inflow potential. Balchunas stated that “low fees have a near-perfect record of attracting investors, so it’s a good sign for inflow potential.”
James Seyffart, Bloomberg ETF analyst, described the pricing as Bitwise “slashing fees right to their bottom level from the get-go.” The strategy aims to attract early institutional capital through aggressive pricing combined with transparent staking operations.
The filing details a comprehensive staking infrastructure through partnerships with established crypto providers. Coinbase Custody will maintain Trust Staking Accounts for secure asset management. In contrast, Attestant serves as the delegated staking and re-staking provider, handling validator operations.
Chapman and Cutler LLP provides legal counsel. Meanwhile, Fenwick & West LLP handles tax matters, and KPMG serves as the accounting firm.
The fund plans to stake nearly all of its Solana holdings. Exceptions include tokens set aside for redemptions and fee payments. Some tokens are also reserved for asset protection.
Three-Day Inflow Streak Signals Growing Institutional Interest
Solana ETFs recorded $6.1 Million in net inflows, marking the third consecutive day of positive flows. The inflow pattern contrasts with the broader weakness in altcoin ETFs seen in Ethereum products over recent weeks.
The REX-Osprey Solana Staking ETF was launched in July 2025 with $12 Million in first-day inflows. This establishes a baseline of institutional demand.

Balchunas noted that Bitwise’s offering provides “better tracking” and is “100% physically backed” by Solana spot assets. He addressed tracking issues plaguing futures-based alternatives. The physical backing structure appeals to institutions seeking direct exposure to SOL.
The ticker symbol “BSOL” will trade on the Cboe BZX Exchange upon approval. The SEC must decide on several Solana ETF applications by October 16, 2025. These include filings from Bitwise and 21Shares, key players in the Solana ETFs space.
The U.S. government shutdown is causing delays in the approval of crypto ETFs. These ETFs need explicit SEC clearance under the Securities Act of 1933. Analysts expect a high chance of approval for 2025, estimating odds between 90% and 100%.
Bloomberg ETF experts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart now assign a probability of 100%. The regulatory climate has become more supportive. On September 17, 2025, the SEC adopted “generic listing standards” for digital asset ETPs.
Bullish Chart Patterns & ETF Momentum Fuel Optimism for Solana ETF Breakout
Analyst Lark Davis sees a cup and handle pattern forming on Solana’s monthly chart. He projects a 1.618 Fibonacci target near $425.
The technical formation suggests a potential breakout from current consolidation patterns. Davis notes that the monthly MACD is forming a golden cross, a bullish momentum indicator that supports upside scenarios.

The cup and handle pattern is a continuation structure following Solana’s recovery from bear market lows. The pattern’s measured move projects substantial upside from current trading levels around $223.
Davis emphasizes that “with Solana ETF approval on the horizon, if this pattern plays out, things could get interesting fast.” The combination of technical setup and fundamental catalyst from ETF launches creates multiple positive drivers.
The October 16 deadline creates a definitive timeline for regulatory clarity. Successful launches of multiple competing products would create sustained institutional buying pressure supporting technical breakout scenarios toward Davis’s $425 target.
