Bitcoin recovered from last week’s sharp sell-off. Positive sentiment is further bolstered by strong liquidity in the markets and strong technical indicators, indicating that institutional participation is increasing. Bitcoin currently trades above $110,000, a sign of renewed confidence following recent volatility. Analysts believe Bitcoin could be headed toward $ 160,000 if the current pattern continues.
Institutional Investors Accumulate Bitcoin and Ethereum
According to CryptoBusy, institutional investors have been buying Bitcoin and Ethereum heavily in the wake of the recent crash. The Coinbase Premium Index turned positive for both assets, which means that U.S. traders are paying a higher price than the global average.

Historically, this premium indicates a strong institutional presence. It usually occurs when larger players enter the construction sector for long-term investments. This trend indicates that large holders are viewing the recent dip as an opportunity to buy, rather than sell, the market.
The Bitcoin Coinbase Premium Index surged to 0.11, and the Ethereum Premium Gap climbed to 3.8. These numbers are evidence of renewed confidence from U.S.-based institutions.

Analysts believe this trend signals the beginning of a return of capital into crypto markets.
Bitcoin Liquidity Clusters: Price Levels to Monitor
Market analyst Ted said Bitcoin has two liquidity clusters that characterize near-term action. The first is priced at $109,000 to $113,000, and the second is priced at $117,000 to $121,000. These levels are dense areas of order concentrations where market participants place large buy and sell orders.

Ted said U.S.-China trade talks could shape Bitcoin’s next move. In case of a positive development in the talks, Bitcoin could clear the top cluster and retest the resistance near $121,000. Conversely, failed negotiations could catalyze renewed volatility and long liquidations before any reversal.
Data from CoinGlass showed that the most active trading is made within these two bands. The heatmap reveals intense liquidity accumulation, indicating that these ranges might outline the next major movement for Bitcoin. When the BTC price surpasses $121,000, there is a high chance that it will rise to $130,000-$160,000.
Nevertheless, failure to hold $109,000 may lead to another temporary change. Nevertheless, analysts are not deterred because institutional inflows are very high, and technical strength is getting better as bullish drivers.
Golden Cross Formation Paved the Way to $160K Race
Interestingly, Bitcoin price is currently forming a Golden Cross on its chart, where the 50-day simple moving average has crossed over the 200-day one. Historically, the bullish trend is associated with long-term trends and has led to significant market rallies.
Analyst Mister Crypto noted that the gains on previous Golden Crosses were 2,200% in 2013 and 1,190% in 2020. The current cross-over, combined with increased institutional accumulation, is the condition that created those previous jumps.

Bitcoin price is expected to retest this crossover zone as it consolidates above $114,000. A strong uptrend could confirm the continuation of a multi-year trend. Analysts confirm that staying above it reinforces the case for a rally to $160,000 in the coming months.
Technical and On-Chain Analysis
Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s holding above $110,000 highlights investor belief. The Coinbase Premium Index going positive indicates that big money is once again returning to the market.
However, increasing geopolitical risks are now playing out in worldwide markets. Coin Bureau reported that the U.S. and China are to resume trade hostilities tomorrow, with new port fees. China described the tariffs as a “legitimate countermeasure” in anticipation of the United States’ upcoming 100% tariff on imports.
These events have shaken investor confidence worldwide. The Bitcoin price has the potential for correlated price movements, and equity and commodity markets are preparing for increased volatility. If tensions continue, China’s weak liquidity zones could be pushed lower before any breakout resumes.
