MicroStrategy Stock Eyes Breakout As Bitcoin Surge Fuels Momentum

Strategy (MSTR), formerly known as MicroStrategy, saw its premarket price rise. It followed the broader upward trend of U.S. crypto stocks. The slight surge occurred following President Trump’s conciliatory tone.

This development occurred approximately two days after the commencement of the tariff war with China. The tariff war sparked a downturn across the entire financial market.

The stock is closely tied to Bitcoin’s price and the company’s holdings of BTC. It climbed after Bitcoin reclaimed the $115,000 mark. The firm had acquired BTC worth $47 Billion. That investment is now valued at over $70 Billion.

MicroStrategy’s BTC Stack Hits $74B

Michael Saylor reported that MicroStrategy acquired 220 additional BTC for approximately $27.2 Million. The average cost per Bitcoin was $123,561.

This recent acquisition increased the Strategy’s total BTC holdings to 640,250. This chunk was acquired for approximately $47.38 Billion, with an average purchase price of $74,000 per coin.

The total holdings were valued at more than $70 billion when calculated using the average price of $115,000. Strategy recorded a remarkable 25.9% annualized yield in Bitcoin as of October 13, 2025. MSTR maintained its belief in Bitcoin as a reliable store of value and a tradable asset.

The firm’s continuous accumulation policy has enabled it to become the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. This signaled ongoing institutional confidence in Bitcoin’s potential. It came despite current market volatility driven by global trade wars.

What’s Driving MSTR Stock Price?

Crypto stocks jumped in the pre-market session. MSTR stock led the rally, followed by Coinbase and Robinhood. Both market optimism and macroeconomic factors contributed to the surge in the market.

First, President Trump’s conciliatory attitude towards tariffs with China boosted investors’ mood. The tone relieved the situation on the global market and raised the prices of stocks, including those of MicroStrategy.

Second, the fact that Bitcoin had soared back to the $115,000 level further increased the valuation of MSTR. This is because the larger the company’s BTC holdings, accompanied by high token prices, the more direct the influence on the stock’s performance.

The situation was particularly in that the crypto market was rebounding. And, finally, FSInsight by Tom Lee published an optimistic future of MSTR stock in Q4.

FSInsight noted that the company was increasingly leveraged to the price of Bitcoin. Thus, MSTR was strategically positioned as a digital asset proxy to the institutional investors. All these fueled fresh investor confidence.

MicroStrategy Stock Analysis and Prediction

On the charts, the price action of MicroStrategy indicated that the company’s stock price was between $305 and $312. MSTR stock traded in a tight range between $312 and $160. Traders began buying near the breakout level of $306.

In the meantime, the highs and lows around $312 coincided with apparent selling pressure and recurrent rejections. On the other hand, the highs and lows around $306 implied the strong interest of buyers at lower prices.

This range was clustered with bids and asks, which indicated a tug of war between the bulls and the bears. Thus, it implied indecisiveness before a possible breakout. Volume analysis revealed high activity around $310, indicating a balance of forces between supply and demand.

MicroStrategy stock is currently in a short-term correction phase. The 200-day moving average near $349 acts as a distant resistance point. That said, either a significant move above $312 or below $305 could determine the next trend.
