Canary Capital, on November 13, 2025, made history by launching the first-ever XRP Spot ETF (Ticker: XRPC). On day 1, according to Canary Capital, the ETF reached a record of over $58.5 million in trading volume. It also attracted $245 million in net inflows.
This beat the previous 2025 high set by Bitwise’s Solana ETF ($BSOL) at $57 million. The launch happened despite a market dip. XRP’s price fell 2.8% to $2.28. Still, investors showed strong interest. This marks a big moment for XRP and cryptocurrency ETFs. More XRP ETFs may follow soon.
Record-Breaking Debut of XRP ETFs Amid Market Dip
Per the XRP news, the XRP ETF made its debut on Nasdaq on November 13, 2025, on a positive note. Despite a U.S. market downturn and a delayed government shutdown the day before, it surged with impressive momentum.
Just 2.5 hours into trading, Bloomberg’s James Seyffart reported, “@CanaryFunds’s $XRPC is already over $46 mln in day one trading.” That was only the beginning. Soon after, he confirmed that $XRPC had surpassed $ BSOL’s approximately $57 million record for day-one ETF trading volume.

He stated, “Looks like $XRPC from @CanaryFunds has the largest day-1 trading volume so far for an ETF launch in 2025. Squeaks by $BSOL’s approximately $57 million. Doing it on a down day like today is pretty impressive.”
Just a moment after this, he updated the figure of the XRP ETF to $59.1 million. Canary Capital celebrated the milestone, stating, “Big day one for the $XRPC ETF — over $58.5M in trading volume and $245M in net inflows!”

Those inflows pushed total assets to $250 million, backed by roughly 109 million XRP. The launch shocked many in the crypto and finance world. It showed strong investor confidence in XRP, even on a tough trading day.
XRP’s technology drove the XRP ETFs record-breaking debut
XRP’s technology was key to the XRPC ETF’s strong debut. The XRP Ledger settles payments in 3–5 seconds, per the ledger’s consensus protocol. It can handle 1,500 transactions per second (TPS) under optimal conditions.
That dwarfs Bitcoin’s base-layer, which can handle just 3 TPS. This performance advantage has made XRP attractive for institutional use. SBI Holdings uses it for fast cross-border payments. For the XRP ETF, Gemini Trust and BitGo Trust serve as custodians.
U.S. Bank acts as the cash custodian, and Parallel Distributors handles distribution. Canary Capital built the ETF around this infrastructure.
CEO Steven McClurg said, “We believe XRP will play a key role in the evolution of our global financial system. It’s a bridge between traditional finance and the blockchain economy, built for scale and real enterprise utility. XRPC allows investors to participate in the prospects of that evolution.”
CoinMarketCap reported that the XRP price was $2.29 at the time of writing. It was down 9.29% in the last 24 hours and around 4% in the last week. The crypto price had increased by 312% in the last year.
The Future Looks Bright
Canary Capital may be smaller than Bitwise, but it has made ETF history. On its launch day, $XRPC beat $BSOL’s record for trading volume.
Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas added, “Congrats to $XRPC for $58m in Day One volume.” This XRP news gives a clear message that small firms can win big.

And this might be just the beginning. The DTCC currently lists 11 pending XRP ETFs, including spot products from issuers like Franklin Templeton and 21Shares.
However, their status remains unconfirmed pending final SEC approval. If approved, these could bring massive daily net inflows, according to analyst projections.
