Solana Price Prediction: Can SOL Break $80 and Return to the $90s?

Solana price traded near $76 at the time of writing after recovering from recent lows, with traders watching whether buyers can defend the $75 area. The next move may depend on a break above $80, as several charts show SOL attempting to shift from corrective price action into a stronger recovery structure.

Solana Price Holds the $75 Decision Zone

Solana price is trading near $76 after testing a short-term reversal area around $75. The latest 4-hour chart shared by BitGuru showed SOL moving out of a downtrend structure and forming a potential bullish reversal near the current range.

According to the setup, a move above $80 could trigger the next higher leg. That level now acts as the immediate confirmation point for buyers. If SOL clears it with volume, the market could start targeting the upper part of the recent structure.

The chart also places $70.08 as a key lower support zone. Below that, the next downside markers sit near $66.84, $63.45, and $61.99. These levels matter if the reversal fails and sellers regain control.

Meanwhile, SOL’s current position above $75 keeps the short-term structure alive. Buyers have not delivered a full breakout yet, but they have also prevented a deeper breakdown into the $70 region.

SOL Crypto Break Above $80 Could Shift Momentum

Crypto market analyst Daan Crypto Trades (@DaanCrypto on X), who regularly publishes technical market analysis, said Solana is approaching a key higher-timeframe resistance area. In his view, Solana is sitting at a zone where bulls either push through resistance and set a higher low or the market rejects it and drifts back toward the mid-$60s.

A strong move through this zone could help SOL crypto reach the range high in the $90s. The chart showed a broader range structure, with Solana still trading below its earlier highs but above the lower support region.

Notably, the current pullback is not automatically bearish. In stronger reversals, price often retests key support after the first major recovery. What matters now is whether buyers can form a higher low instead of allowing another lower-low sequence.

If SOL price closes above $80 and holds that level on a retest, momentum may shift quickly. A rejection around $80 would keep the market stuck in consolidation and raise the risk of another sweep lower.

Solana One-Year Downtrend Break

Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe (@CryptoMichNL on X), founder of MN Trading and a long-time market commentator, said this is an area where traders may consider accumulating SOL. His chart focused on the SOL/BTC pair, where Solana has already broken a one-year downtrend and flipped a key level.

The chart also showed SOL/BTC breaking above the 21-day moving average, which supports the view that Solana is improving against Bitcoin. That relative strength matters, as altcoins often need strength against BTC before broader rallies can develop.

Moreover, Van de Poppe noted that a new high would confirm a buy-the-dip environment for SOL. That means the current pullback may represent accumulation rather than trend failure, provided price does not lose the flipped support area.

This view aligns with the current dollar chart. SOL is no longer falling in a straight line, but it still needs stronger confirmation above $80 before the bullish structure becomes cleaner.

Futures Market Shows Short Closing

CW’s derivatives chart adds another layer to the Solana outlook. He noted that short-selling is still in progress, with the bearish betting phase gradually fading in the futures market.

However, he also warned that a real uptrend will emerge only when open interest and net position delta rise together. That means short covering alone may not be enough to sustain a larger rally. Fresh long exposure still needs to enter the market.

At the time of writing, SOL traded near $76 while open interest had stabilized and net position delta remained elevated compared with earlier readings. The data suggested bearish pressure was easing, although stronger confirmation would require rising open interest alongside sustained long positioning.
