M&G PLC: Will MNG Stock Retest The 20, 50, 100, and 200-Day EMAs?
  • MNG stock is trading at £187.75, gaining 1.49% during the intraday session.
  • M&G Stock is struggling to sustain higher levels.
  • The year-to-date return of MNG stock is -0.85%, and the three-month return is -5.06%.

M&G stock price has surged approximately 23% since the start of 2023. It has achieved an annual high at £229.9 resistance level on 2 March 2023. The upward momentum did not sustain and halted at the annual high. The price witnessed a pullback after that fall. It took the price to the annual low of £168.35 on 20 March 2023.

The MNG stock price faced rejection from 20, 50, 100, and 200-day EMAs. It reflects the heavy dominance of bears, which might persist further on. The approximate bullish momentum looks miniature in front of the bearish dominance.

The stock price has been consolidated from £187 to £208 since 6 April 2023. MNG stock price has attained a double top pattern during that consolidation until 26 June 2023. Stock sellers escaped and formed a support near the £181 level.

The M&G stock has made a distance from all the EMAs. Therefore, an expected short-term pullback might trigger a retest of the EMAs. Moreover, the somewhat short-term pullback will struggle to sustain higher levels.

The seller and buyer broke out all the EMAs several times in the past few months. Hence, it shows the predominant power struggle between buyers and sellers. The price has shifted downwards and is hovering near the £188 level.

The M&G stock is currently trading at £187.75 while witnessing a gain of 1.49% during the intraday session. The market scenario reflected a bullish trend in price action. The present week’s return of 2.09% approves that.

If MNG stock sustains the current bullish trend, the price might surge and retest the 20 and 50-day EMAs. It may also test the 100-day EMA.

On the contrary, if the predated bearish trend strikes again, the price might melt towards the £180 mark.

The RSI (relative strength index) has been hovering below the 50 mark since 11 August 2023. The RSI is at 46.31 during the intraday reflecting the price is slightly bearish.

The CMF (Chaikin Money Flow) score is -0.28 during the intraday session. It denotes a strong seller’s dominance in the market. The market capitalization of Natwest Group is £4.36 Billion, with an average volume of 3.63 Million shares.

Conclusion

The M&G stock is slowly and steadily gaining upward momentum. It might retest a few of the EMAs. The technical parameters suggest that the MNG stock price feels comfortable in consolidation. It might remain farmly there. Therefore, investors should avoid making a long-term investment in this stock.
