MicroStrategy Eyes S&P 500 as Bitcoin Credit Expansion Gains Momentum

MicroStrategy is in full swing to move into Bitcoin-backed credit products as it moves to be included in the S&P 500. The firm’s leadership outlined plans to issue digital-asset securities globally, while analysts reiterated bullish targets. Recent earnings and balance sheet data underscore strong Bitcoin exposure and greater financial stability.

Benchmark Reaffirms $705 Target, Notes BTC Gains

Benchmark analyst Mark Palmer repeated a Buy rating on MicroStrategy (MSTR) with a $705 price target. The projection suggested a 164% upside, which would translate to $3.9 billion of unrealized Bitcoin gains in the third quarter.

Benchmark’s report reiterated the guidance for earnings and Bitcoin yield for 2025. The company is to expedite its capital-raising process by issuing preferred stock and global bond issuance. MicroStrategy’s $8.2 billion in convertible notes have a low blended rate (0.421%), indicative of disciplined capital management.

Palmer said the company’s leverage in Bitcoin and consistent earnings guidance give investors good visibility. Benchmark anticipates that the firm’s growing digital credit activities will support the stability of long-term valuations. The positive stance highlighted MicroStrategy as an important Bitcoin proxy in the equity markets.

Technical Recovery Signals Renewed Momentum

Furthermore, analyst Donald Dean noted that MicroStrategy has found its trendline support after dipping slightly below it earlier in October. His chart analysis showed prices consolidating at around $270, which indicates a possibility of a base formation.

Dean identified near-term price targets at $330 and $387, followed by $424 on Fibonacci retracement. Volume profiles point to potential resistance around $330, with buyers likely to return if momentum strength returns. A strong break above this range could trigger a renewed institutional activity.

TradingView data indicated that MSTR’s daily chart is now in a falling wedge reversal, a bullish continuation signal. With improving sentiment in Bitcoin markets, the technical picture for MSTR is consistent with the wider path of recovery for BTC. Dean’s analysis revealed early signs of renewed investor accumulation.

Bitcoin Credit Strategy and Global Expansion

MicroStrategy’s leadership continues to advance its long-term Bitcoin investment strategy. CEO Phong Le affirmed that the company was planning to issue securities backed by Bitcoin credit in international markets. Regulatory frameworks are being developed in several jurisdictions to facilitate the rollout.

For the first nine months of 2025, MicroStrategy reported having an operating income of $12 billion, whereas in the previous year, it was $0.8 billion loss. Net income rose to $8.6 billion, and earnings per share rose to $27.71 from -$2.71. These results represent one of the strongest financial turnarounds in the company’s history.

S&P Global Ratings rated the company with a B-, noting its regular earnings guidance and digital credit development. Market analyst Adam Livingston argued this assessment does not reflect the firm’s Bitcoin-backed collateral structure. He said that traditional credit models do not reflect the peculiarity of its treasury composition.

Analyst Warns Following 50-SMA Breakdown

Analyst Ted Pillows noted that MicroStrategy’s stock recently fell below its weekly 50-day simple moving average. Historically, these breakdowns have coincided with temporary corrections in Bitcoin price. However, Pillows said this cycle may vary because of stronger fundamentals and yield generation from BTC.

Comparative charts reveal that the performance of MSTR continues to reflect the trend of Bitcoin. More correlation can be maintained because the overall sentiment of the crypto market influences both assets. Despite the SMA fall, Pillows believes MSTR may find a base once Bitcoin returns to an upward trending mode.

The firm is still active with its Bitcoin accumulation strategy. Earlier this week, MicroStrategy added 390 BTC, worth approximately $43 million, at an average cost of $ 111,562. Founder Michael Saylor believes that Bitcoin’s long-term appreciation still exceeds that of major technology stocks. He sees BTC as a treasury reserve and a yield-generating asset for corporate balance sheets.
