21Shares, the European firm offering crypto exchange-traded products, recently confirmed the launch of its XRP ETF (TOXR). It has now officially started trading on Cboe BZX.

With the launch of its TOXR ETF, 21Shares has become the fifth U.S. spot-XRP ETF. The listing comes at a time when earlier funds have already drawn strong institutional inflows.

Reports indicate that inflows into U.S. XRP ETFs have already surpassed $666 million. That also contributed to a 12% surge in XRP over the past week.

With strong demand already evident, experts anticipate that the newly launched 21Shares XRP ETF will attract even more institutional capital. It could attract investors seeking regulated, compliant exposure to XRP.

Tracking the CME CF XRP Dollar Reference Rate, the new 21Shares XRP ETF (TOXR) provides investors with exposure to the spot price of XRP. The European issuer submitted Form 8-A with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Since the SEC did not object within 20 days, the ETF was approved.

Grayscale’s GXRP and Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ also recently debuted in the U.S., attracting massive first-day inflows. It reflects strong investor demand for regulated, easy access to XRP.

Working Mechanism of 21Shares TOXR ETF

The filing reveals that the newly launched 21Shares XRP ETF will hold XRP crypto in secure custody. That’s similar to the operating mechanism of Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs. The ETF will use daily creation and redemption mechanisms to maintain close alignment with XRP’s live market price.

The final expense ratio for the ETF has not yet been disclosed. However, it is expected to fall within a competitive range of 0.25%–0.40%. Anchorage and BItGO will manage custody. Both are globally respected providers, known for multi-signature security, cold storage, and institutional-grade protection.

How XRP ETFs are Performing?

Spot XRP ETFs have witnessed solid inflows since their launch. Monday, Nov. 24, was the first trading day for more XRP exchange-traded funds. The cumulative total net inflow on that day was approximately $164 million. In other words, these ETFs made a strong debut.

As of today, the cumulative net inflow of all major US XRP Spot ETFs is $666.61 million. Canary Capital’s XRPC, Bitwise’s XRP, Franklin’s XRPZ, and Grayscale’s GXRP ETFs have drawn $343.67M, $166.04M, $85.22M, and $71.68M in cumulative net inflows, respectively.

The Total assets under management (AUM) for all live U.S. spot XRP ETFs recently surpassed $687.81 million. It shows that inflows have translated into substantial assets parked in ETFs.

Strong demand for XRP ETFs also helped lift XRP’s price, which rallied after the ETF launches. Although the price experienced a pullback afterward, experts believe that continued strong inflows into these ETFs could support XRP’s performance in the coming weeks.
