Chainlink, the popular oracle services provider, recently announced the 24/5 support for US equities. The blockchain will leverage its own Chainlink Data stream technology while supporting real-world assets. This comes as the blockchain platform makes a major shift towards tokenized assets.
Chainlink Will Now Support 24/5 US Equities
In its announcement on Tuesday, January 20, Chainlink said its new 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams are built to deliver “fast and secure market data for U.S. equities and ETFs across all trading sessions”. It will operate for five trading days every week and even cover after-hours and overnight periods.
This launch will make it easier for decentralized applications to integrate on-chain stocks and ETFs. It will also bring tokenized U.S. equities closer to an always-on trading model enabled by blockchain infrastructure.
Both, centralized and decentralized exchanges are currently in the race to offer 24/5 and even 24/7 trading access to traditional markets such as stocks and commodities. Recently, even the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) said that it is developing its own platform for tokenized securities trading. This could offer round-the-clock support, including on the weekends.
Meanwhile, Kraken began offering 24/5 access to a range of CME-linked markets last year, including gold, oil, and equity indexes. BitMEX has also expanded into the segment with a 24/7 equity perpetuals product covering names such as Amazon, Apple, Circle, Coinbase, Meta, Nvidia, Robinhood, Tesla, and the S&P 500.
Chainlink Rides the Tokenization Wave
Chainlink said multiple crypto-native venues plan to integrate its new real-world asset data offering. This includes Lighter, which began listing 24/5 equity perpetuals earlier this month. Speaking on the development, Lighter CEO Vladimir Novakovski said:
“We’re excited to expand our partnership with Chainlink as Lighter’s official oracle solution for RWA markets by integrating 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams. This enables us to extend our fair, low-latency perp execution beyond regular market hours without compromising data integrity.”
Other platforms set to use Chainlink 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams include ApeX, HelloTrade, Decibel, Monaco, Opinion Labs, and Orderly Network.
Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure primarily serves to deliver off-chain market data. This includes bid-ask prices, trading volume, and other trading-status signals, all together in on-chain contracts. But it added that its newly expanded equities data offering will enable a broader range of use cases beyond basic price feeds.
According to Chainlink, the 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams product can support new yield and exposure strategies through structured products and vaults. This will include power prediction and lending markets, and enable synthetic equities and fund-like instruments, among other on-chain applications.
Chainlink said most on-chain market data solutions for equities currently provide only a single price point during regular U.S. trading hours. This leaves decentralized markets with limited visibility outside the standard session.
It warned that these gaps can create pricing blind spots and increase off-hours risk. This will make it harder for developers to build secure and scalable equity-based financial products on-chain.
Where’s LINK Price Heading Next?
Chainlink’s native cryptocurrency LINK has been moving sideways after rejection at $14, and is once again testing support at $12. Crypto trader Crypto Yoda said Chainlink (LINK) has moved back into a key support zone.

He believes that this area is being closely monitored by “smart money” for a potential rebound. Yoda added that a sustained hold in the current demand region could set up a move toward the $15 level.
