Ethereum price traded near $2,470 on Sept. 10 after spending much of the month inside a relatively narrow range. ETH recently reached approximately $2,564 before buyers and sellers settled into consolidation around the $2,400-$2,500 region. Technical indicators, staking activity and renewed Ethereum ETF inflows now provide the main signals for the next move.
The consolidation follows a sharp advance during the second half of August. Reuters technical analysis identified the structure as a potential bull flag and calculated a measured upside target near $3,050. That scenario remains conditional because a breakdown below approximately $2,350-$2,360 would weaken the bullish structure.
Ethereum Price Bull Flag Keeps $3,000 in Focus
The daily chart shows that the ETH price has stalled in the past two weeks. In this period, it has formed a horizontal channel in this period. This channel is part of a bullish flag pattern, resembling a hoisted flag. In most cases, this pattern normally leads to a strong surge over time.
This flag is forming at an important level, which coincides with the highest level on April 17 this year. At the same time, it has formed the closely watched golden cross pattern, which happens when the 50-day Weighted Moving Average (WMA) crosses the 200-day one. This pattern signals that the short-term momentum is accelerating.
Therefore, the ongoing ETH price consolidation is a sign that this is a calm before the storm. A move above the upper channel will signal further upside, potentially reaching the psychological level of $3,000. This target is about 25% above the current level.

ETH Staking Inflows are Soaring
Another bullish catalyst for the ETH token is that more investors are taking a long-term view. A good way to look at this is to consider the staking activity.
Staking is a process in which investors allocate their coins to staking pools and earn a monthly return. This staking helps to secure the network, with investors earning an annual return of about 2.60%.
Data shows that more investors are staking their coins. Over 43 million tokens have been staked, giving it a staking ratio of 35.25%. These tokens are now valued at over $105 billion. The staked amount has jumped by close to 2 million tokens in the last 30 days, as the chart below shows.

The rising staking inflows is important because it is a sign that these investors expect the price to jump in the long term.
ETH ETF Inflows are Rising
Meanwhile, data shows that American retail and institutional investors are accumulating ETH ETFs aggressively. These ETFs had over $34.7 million in inflows on Wednesday, bringing this month’s addition to $141 million.
Notably, BlackRock’s ETHB has become the fastest-growing ETH ETF in the industry. It had over $22 million in inflows on Wednesday, bringing its total assets under management to over $1 billion. This makes it the fifth-largest Ethereum ETF.
Launched in March this year, ETHB has seen substantial inflows because of its staking feature. This is a significant difference from other ETFs that don’t offer a staking feature.
In total, these ETFs have accumulated over $13.2 billion in inflows since their inception and now hold $15.7 billion. The other most notable Ethereum ETFs seeing strong inflows are from companies like Grayscale, Bitwise, Fidelity, and VanEck.

Ethereum Price Outlook Depends on $2,564 Breakout
Ethereum currently combines a constructive technical setup with substantial staking participation and renewed ETF inflows. The bull flag identified by Reuters and the golden cross shown on the supplied TradingView chart both support monitoring the upside. Neither signal provides certainty without price confirmation.
The immediate resistance zone remains around $2,564-$2,566. A sustained breakout could strengthen the technical case for approximately $3,000-$3,050, while a fall below $2,350-$2,360 would weaken the flag structure. ETF flows and staking trends provide additional context for assessing demand around those levels.
Ethereum’s next catalysts extend beyond the chart. Continued ETF flows, changing staking participation and progress toward Glamsterdam will provide additional fundamental signals over the coming weeks. For now, ETH remains in consolidation while traders wait for a confirmed break from the current range.
