Robinhood Stock Forecast as Tokenized Token Trading Growth Surges

Robinhood stock price has stabilized in the past few days as the recent sell-off lost momentum. HOOD dropped to $109.7, down by about 14% from its highest point in September. Still, the stock will likely bounce back in the near term, helped by the ongoing demand for tokenized stocks and Robinhood Chain.

Robinhood Markets is Seeing Strong Demand for Tokenized Stocks

Vlad Tenev’s Robinhood has become one of the most important players in the tokenization industry. It currently offers hundreds of tokenized assets on its platform, and recent data shows that its growth is accelerating.

In a statement this week, the company said that its tokenized stocks have generated $15 billion in volume. This growth will likely continue in the foreseeable future after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) gave the industry a five-year exemption for the industry.

Robinhood Markets will benefit from this growth for several reasons. First, it will enable it to offer trading solutions globally in a faster way, opening it to more markets.

Second, tokenization is helping to boost Robinhood Chain, its fast-growing layer-2 network. Data shows that the network’s total value locked (TVL) has jumped to over $1.05 billion, making it one of the biggest chains in the industry. It now holds over $324 million worth of RWA assets and the figure is continuing to grow.

Other parts of Robinhood Chain’s business are growing. For example, the stablecoin market capitalization has remained above $1 billion, much higher than traditional chains like Cardano and Algorand.

Robinhood Chain’s DEX volume has continued rising. It handled over $53 billion last month and has already processed transactions worth $13 billion this month. In total, the DEX volume has jumped to over $100 billion since its launch a few months ago. As a result, it has made over $46 million in fees, with 10% of the funds going to the Arbitrum Foundation.

Analysts are Bullish on the HOOD Stock

It is against this backdrop that analysts are highly bullish on HOOD stock. In a CNBC interview, Adam Frisch, a top Evercore analyst, said that the company has so “many irons in the fire.” He pointed to several growth catalysts that will boost it in the coming months. Frisch has a target of $130, 20% upside from where it is today.

Other analysts have a bullish outlook for the stock. For example, Morgan Stanley’s Michael Cyprys has a target of $160, up by 46% from the current level. Bank of America’s Craig Siegenthaler has a target of $156, while Compass Point has a target of $145. The average estimate among analysts is $130, up modestly from last month’s target of $125.

The next important catalyst for Robinhood stock is the upcoming earnings, which will provide more color on its business. Analysts expect the upcoming results to show that its revenue rose by 12% in the third quarter to $1.43 billion, followed by $1.52 billion next quarter.

HOOD Stock Technical Analysis

Robinhood stock chart | Source: TradingView

The daily chart shows that the HOOD stock price has pulled back in the past few weeks. Recently, however, there are signs that the stock is bottoming out. It has formed an island reversal pattern, a common bullish reversal sign.

The stock has formed an ascending channel and remained above the 50-day and 100-day moving averages. Its Stochastic oscillator has remained in the green. Therefore, the stock will likely rebound, initially to the resistance level of $126.65. A move above that level will point to more gains, potentially to the resistance of $150.
