XRP price remained under pressure near $1.33 as large-holder withdrawals from Binance declined to a five-year low. CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost reported that the 90-day average fell to $49.7 million on October 20.
The decline coincided with weak technical momentum and renewed uncertainty surrounding institutional demand. U.S. spot XRP ETFs also recorded their first negative week after 13 consecutive weeks of inflows.
Meanwhile, XRP Ledger validators approached another protocol milestone, with the fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment potentially activating on October 23.
XRP Price Prediction: Ripple Support and Resistance Levels
XRP crypto moved above $1.33 over the past 24 hours after rallying more than 2% during the same period. The seven-day range stretched from $1.26 to $1.38. XRP also traded below its 20-, 50-, 100-, and 200-day exponential moving averages, which stood at $1.3689, $1.3743, $1.3353, and $1.3742, respectively.

The immediate support area currently ranges from $1.28 to $1.30. A sustained move below $1.28 would bring the $1.21 range into focus, followed by the $1.05 level in a deeper decline. Buyers face initial resistance around $1.3353, followed by $1.38. The technical assessment puts $1.50 in the possible recovery range if XRP closes above $1.38.
The daily relative strength index read 36.49, below its signal average of 39.83. Crypto analyst Carolina separately identified a potential inverse head-and-shoulders formation. She outlined a conditional target near $2.80, but the pattern still requires a completed right shoulder and a neckline breakout with stronger trading volume.
XRP Whale Outflows Fall to Five-Year Low on Binance
Binance’s 90-day average XRP whale outflows fell from about $3.5 billion in February 2025 to $49.7 million on October 20. That represents a roughly 98.6% decrease. The latest figure matches levels last seen around October 2021 in the analyst’s historical data.
Whale outflows track large XRP transfers from an exchange to outside wallets. Analysts use the measure to monitor withdrawals, but those transfers do not automatically represent new purchases. Custody transfers and exchange wallet management can also affect the data.

Darkfost suggested that large holders may be waiting for lower prices before increasing their positions. Dollar-denominated outflows also change with the market price of XRP, even when the token quantity remains unchanged.
XRP ETF Activity Offers Another Measure of Demand
U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded no net inflows or outflows on October 19, according to the market report. The flat daily reading followed a previous week that saw $1.84 million in net withdrawals, ending 13 consecutive weeks of inflows.
XRP ETF flows measure investment fund subscriptions and redemptions, while whale outflows measure token transfers from Binance. Neither dataset alone confirms whether large investors bought or sold XRP in the spot market.
XRP crypto daily trading volume is near $1.28 billion, and its market capitalization is around $82 billion. A separate October 19 report also cited elevated exchange reserves.
XRP Ledger Approaches October 23 Software Amendment
The XRP Ledger’s fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment could activate on October 23 if validator support remains above the required threshold. As of October 19, 29 of 35 trusted validators supported the change, meeting the network’s 80% approval requirement. Validators must sustain that level of support for two continuous weeks.
The proposal addresses technical issues involving transactions and automated market makers. Separate lending amendments had not secured enough votes. LendingProtocol and LendingProtocolV1_1 each held 19 affirmative votes, while SingleAssetVault held 21. All three needed 29 to qualify under the reported validator count.
The network activated transaction batching on October 9. Developers released the latest cleanup and lending code through XRP Ledger server version 3.4.0, although validator approval still controls when individual amendments take effect.
