- Eric Trump’s Bitcoin endorsement drew attention, but price movement remained subdued despite the hype.
- Trump Media is expanding financial products under Truth.Fi, focusing on ETFs and crypto investments.
- MicroStrategy halted its 12-week Bitcoin accumulation streak despite Michael Saylor’s bullish outlook.
Eric Trump has drawn attention to Bitcoin with his recent endorsement, emphasizing a strong entry point into the asset. On January 6, he took to X to express optimism about Bitcoin, suggesting that it was an ideal time to invest.

However, despite his remarks, Bitcoin’s price movement remained subdued. The asset currently trades at $97,017, reflecting a modest 0.9% increase in the past 24 hours but a 8.2% decline over the past week.
Bitcoin Market Reaction
Following Eric Trump’s statement, Bitcoin’s price movement did not experience significant upward momentum.
This attracted the attention of Michael Saylor, chairman and former CEO of MicroStrategy, who responded on X with a message reinforcing a bullish outlook.
Despite this engagement, MicroStrategy, which holds a significant amount of Bitcoin, did not add to its holdings last week. This marked the end of a 12-week accumulation streak, as confirmed by Saylor.
Meanwhile, Saylor and Eric Trump have been previously linked through meetings, fueling speculation about Bitcoin’s role in Trump-associated ventures.
Their recent meeting at Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Florida, further solidified these discussions.
Neither party disclosed specific details, but both signaled their focus on Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry. Trump shared their alignment on social media, while Saylor suggested that Bitcoin was a central topic during their meeting.
Ethereum Advocacy and Market Response
Eric Trump’s cryptocurrency advocacy has extended beyond Bitcoin. On Feb. 3, he voiced support for Ethereum, stating that it was an opportune time to invest in the asset. His endorsement coincided with a notable price recovery for Ethereum.
Additionally, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance protocol influenced by Donald Trump’s ideology, continues to accumulate Ethereum for operational use and potential future gains.
Trump’s statements reached a wide audience, encouraging market participants to consider Ethereum during its underwhelming market phase. However, his promotion of the asset drew reactions from figures in the Bitcoin community.
Trump Media’s Financial Strategy
Meanwhile, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) is expanding its financial sector initiatives. The company recently filed for trademarks under the Truth.Fi brand, covering multiple exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and separately managed accounts (SMAs).
These financial products will focus on themes such as Bitcoin, American manufacturing, and U.S. energy independence.
TMTG’s move follows the launch of Truth.Fi, which aims to allocate up to $250 Million of its cash reserves into financial services, including Bitcoin investments and customized ETFs.
To support these initiatives, TMTG has partnered with Charles Schwab, a leading brokerage managing over $10 Trillion in assets, to provide custody and financial advisory services.
Devin Nunes, the CEO of Trump Media and a former White House official, explained that the company seeks to counter existing investment funds that prioritize social or political agendas. The firm intends to offer alternatives that address concerns over financial exclusion and market bias.
