79,300 Bitcoin Sold at a Loss in 24 Hours
Bitcoin holders liquidated 79,300 BTC at a loss, making it the largest sell-off of 2025. The CryptoQuant data shows that traders who bought Bitcoin during recent months sold their assets after the price dropped.

Bitcoin experienced a market sell-off which caused its price to drop from more than $100,000 to under $90,000. Moreover, the data from CryptoQuant indicates numerous short-term holders sold their Bitcoin holdings, which fueled the price drop.
The market demonstrated that traders who purchased Bitcoin at elevated prices lost their positions when prices dropped.
Also, the BTC movement demonstrates ongoing price instability within the cryptocurrency market. The unclear reason behind the mass liquidation shows through trading patterns, which demonstrate that market sentiment has suffered.
Forced liquidations from price declines led numerous traders to sell BTC at a loss.
Bitcoin’s Performance Compared to Previous Market Cycles
Bitcoin’s recent performance shows similarities to the 2011-2015 cycle, raising speculation that the market could have reached its highest point.
According to an analysis from Ali, Bitcoin’s price trajectory since its 2022 cycle low resembles past trends, with a strong rally followed by corrections.

The analysis compares Bitcoin’s surge of over 40,000% post-cycle low to previous cycles. Historical data shows that Bitcoin followed a pattern of rapid growth, followed by declines in price.
If Bitcoin continues to follow the same trend, its most recent peak could mark the start of a downturn.
The cryptocurrency’s movements suggest that the market could be following familiar cycles.
