Bitcoin price recently surged to $85K, drawing increased attention as it approached key resistance zones. The cryptocurrency’s upward momentum has sparked speculation that it could soon test the $100K threshold.
Bitcoin Price Reaches Key Resistance Levels
Bitcoin price hike which reached $85K has drawn the crypto closer to key resistance zones. The price increase was coupled with a 3.3% daily rise. The crypto’s value declined slightly reaching its 24-hour low point at $81,188.
The market rapidly recovered which proved buyers’ resistance against market volatility. Additionally, technical indicators suggest that Bitcoin stands ready to move above its resistance trendline.
According to analyst Ali Martinez, Bitcoin price is facing two crucial resistance points based on the MVRV Extreme Deviation Pricing Bands which stand at $94,280 and $112,380. In its continued rally, Bitcoin price will need to overcome these particular resistance levels.

Consequently, BTC price stronger upward momentum may likely continue if it crosses these specified resistance levels. However, the price might experience either a consolidation or a pullback if it fails to surpass these resistance levels.
Movement of Over 21,000 BTC to Exchanges
Meanwhile, a notable Bitcoin transfer toward exchanges in recent times has triggered market volatility fears. Recent CryptoQuant data showed that more than 21,000 BTC migrated to various cryptocurrency exchanges in four days. The addition of Bitcoin to exchange reserves led to BTC total reserves rising from 2.419 million BTC to 2.440 million BTC.

Hence, the increased exchange reserves show there is additional Bitcoin available for trading which may result in price movement. Market pressure from the recent Bitcoin influx may be balanced by the additional liquidity available. These could either facilitate the breakout above resistance or lead to a temporary reversal.
Bitcoin Futures Open Interest and Bullish Sentiment
More so, increased Bitcoin futures interest signals an optimistic trend for Bitcoin price surge. Bitcoin futures open interest has experienced a 2.57% increase to reach $53.93 billion. Open interest increases show that traders are setting positions for an upcoming Bitcoin price increase.

The funding rate for Bitcoin futures has also entered a positive cycle, reflecting bullish sentiment in the market. Major exchanges Binance and OKX have shown a market sentiment that favors upward price continuation because their long-to-short ratio has exceeded 1.
An upward trend in open interest combined with positive funding rates indicates traders perceive additional bullish momentum for Bitcoin (BTC) price. This may help it break its current resistance thresholds on its way toward $100K.
