Key Insights:
- Chainlink (LINK) formed a bullish setup; a breakout above $15.50 could spark a significant rally.
- Jonathan Carter, Alex Clay align: $LINK eyes $27 short-term, $45 mid-term.
- Rising volume and the Elliott wave structure fuel Chainlink’s multi-year breakout case.
Chainlink price positioned itself at a critical point this week as bullish momentum appeared to build across multiple indicators. Analysts are tracking the altcoin’s structure, observing rising accumulation, expanding trading volume, and a supportive market environment.
Experts predict a possible breakout from the $15.50 to $16.00 resistance zone. If momentum continues, LINK price targets could reach $27.00, $31.85, and $45.50.
Analysts Identify Fifth Impulse Wave Formation for Chainlink Price
A technical analyst, Alex Clay, confirmed that Chainlink’s third impulse wave has concluded based on Elliott Wave Theory. This signaled that the Chainlink price is now gearing up for the fifth wave.
According to his analysis, the altcoin reached a resistance area. It demonstrated a consistent accumulation pattern across spot markets.

Clay highlighted that clearing the $16.00 resistance could validate the formation of the fifth impulse wave. Consequently, he outlined LINK price targets of $31.85 and $45.50. This aligned with historical behavior during previous strong trend continuations.
The analyst emphasized that the wave structure remained clean without notable overextension. This enhances the probability of sustained upward movement once resistance is surpassed.
Chainlink Price Approaches Breakout
Jonathan Carter analyzed Chainlink’s movement against a long-term descending channel. This indicated that the asset was nearing its upper boundary. Based on his technical assessment, Carter noted that previous breakouts from such channels resulted in prolonged upward trends.

Cartor also observed a substantial accumulation between $14.00 and $15.00 levels to provide firm support to the future price movement. He noted that Chainlink price could finally break the consolidation range if it closed daily above $15.50.
In addition, Carter established a sequence of price forecasts at $18.00, $21.50, and $27.00 in case of a further breakout. However, he noted that confirmation of volume is crucial to supporting any breakouts.
Tactical Trading Setup Around Key Resistance
Crypto analyst CRYPTOWZRD shared insights on short-term price movements. His analysis focused on the crucial $15.50 to $16.00 resistance zone.
He noted that while LINK price went through various forms of intraday consolidation, the prevailing trend appeared to be constructive.

CRYPTOWZRD noted that $15.50 was a level of support turned resistance. A breakout and holding above it could lead to gains of around $16.00.
He also mentioned that pullbacks to $15.00 should not be a concern, as such movements are everyday before a breakout. During such phases, he suggested that the upswings are preceded by periods of bullish consolidation.
Rising On-Chain Metrics Reinforce Bullish Outlook
Besides the technical analysis, on-chain data supported a bullish narrative regarding Chainlink. According to CoinMarketCap, LINK trading volume increased by nearly 30% within the last 24 hours of trading.
Similarly, the open interest of Chainlink derivatives rose to around $215 Million due to the rising participation of traders. According to CoinGlass data, Chainlink’s exchange-held supply dropped by around 2.3% over the past seven days.
This shift pointed to a situation where investors stored their investments in cold wallets. It signifies fewer selling pressures in the short term.
Steady spot volume and declining exchange balances suggest a tightening of sell-side liquidity. This trend reinforces concerns about reduced market supply.
The broader crypto market strengthened as Bitcoin and Ethereum maintained their upward momentum. Their stability helped drive rallies among altcoins.
If Chainlink price surpasses the crucial $16.00 level with substantial volume, it could gain significant momentum. Based on historical trends, it may push toward the $27.00 mark.
If the rally continues, the price could reach the $31.00 to $45.00 supply zone last seen in 2021. At the time of writing, Chainlink (LINK) price traded at $14.96, indicating a 2.69% rise in the last 24 hours.
