Bitcoin Realized Cap Hits $906B — Bull Market Confirmation Builds

Key Insights:

  • Bitcoin’s realized cap has surged to a new all-time high.
  • Spot volume and institutional demand are rising fast.
  • The bull market structure is gaining clear confirmation.

Bitcoin’s realized market capitalization has reached an all-time high of $906 billion, marking a strong return in market confidence. The total coin value metric has steadily risen, mirroring Bitcoin price increase and indicating growing investor confidence and activity. This upward trend suggests increased accumulation and renewed interest from large investors despite the volatility seen earlier in the year.

Realized Cap Strengthens Amid Continued Bitcoin Price Growth

The realized cap reaching $906 billion is a new peak, reflecting increased activity in long-term holding behavior. According to market data, rising realized cap alongside the Bitcoin price often points to sustained demand. The current alignment between realized cap and price growth suggests capital inflows into the asset.

Data from on-chain analytics platforms shows that Bitcoin’s price has rebounded over 38% from its five-year low. As of mid-May, Bitcoin is trading above the $100,000 level. This price recovery, paired with realized cap expansion, reflects a growing preference for holding Bitcoin at higher price levels. The steady rise in this metric often signals the return of buyers who exited during earlier corrections.

Trendline Movement and Liquidity Sweeps

Technical charts reveal that Bitcoin recently dipped below a key ascending trendline after breaching the $104,900 resistance level. This movement triggered what some analysts believe to be a bull trap, followed by a drop that liquidated long positions. However, trading patterns indicate that the move below the trendline lacked strong selling volume.

CryptoFaibik argues that the negative breakdown in Bitcoin’s technicals may be an illusion, as its recent weak selling suggests a bear trap could be forming. The price is currently hovering near $102,000, a level that has acted as support. Chart analysis shows that if this zone holds, Bitcoin may attempt a retest of the $107,500 level.

During this period, liquidations occurred on both sides of the market. Short positions were cleared above $106,000, while long positions were wiped out below $102,000. This type of liquidity sweep often happens before a reversal, as the market resets and new positions begin to form.

Spot Volume Activity Signals Renewed Accumulation

The findings from Binance and Coinbase reveal that the 30-day moving average of Bitcoin’s spot net volume delta has increased. This result means buying is more active than selling in the spot markets. It occurred after the market saw heavy selling in the first few months of 2025.

There are regular increases in the spot net volume of both Binance and Coinbase. Such an action means buyers have returned to the market. Funds are still flowing in, even though Bitcoin reached $100,000 and above, indicating ongoing accumulation at current price levels.

In the recent past, changes in volume delta similar to the present situation have been seen together with rises in trading prices.

Institutional Activity and Holdings Increase

Huge purchases made by institutions have a positive effect on the current market situation. Metaplanet announced it is buying an additional 1,004 BTC for $104.8 million, at an average price of $104,427. Because of this, Metaplanet now has 7,800 BTC in its possession, which is worth over $800 million.

On this date, the company has accumulated 576,230 BTC at $40.18 billion. Therefore, they hold their bitcoins with an average market price of nearly $69,726. The firm saw a 16.3% yield on its Bitcoins held so far in 2025, suggesting that owning Bitcoins for the long term is more profitable.
