Key Insights:
- Whale bought 567 BTC worth $61.1 million on-chain.
- Bitcoin TVL surged to $6.4B, up 19.3% since April.
- BTC rejected at $110K despite whale activity and accumulation.
Bitcoin whales are buying as the market increases volatility and fear-motivated behaviors. As of July 2, Binance delivered 567.364 BTC worth about $61.1 Million to a single wallet.
Whale investors are showing signs of renewed accumulation. This activity is happening while prices remain below the $110,000 resistance level. Their buying behavior may signal bullish sentiment. The market could be preparing for a potential breakout.
Most of the market was overwhelmed by the action of 80,000 BTC. Certain individuals viewed this as a possible sell-off driver, but something was more complicated.
Rather than putting pressure on the downside, the new findings indicate that advanced participants are purchasing the drops. On the other hand, less astute individuals engage in emotional response to high-volume flows.
Massive Whale Accumulation Confirmed On-Chain
The main transaction directly transferred 567.364 BTC to an identified Bitcoin wallet address, `bc1qf7k6g3rtvlf0xdp…`. The address had not been very active during the last 12 months.
Two minor ones preceded the significant transaction. Both involved 0.01 BTC, currently on the verge of institutional accumulation. This implies that the wallet may have been tested or returned to use.

This inflow is in the pattern of measured large-scale purchases commonly related to institutions or rich individuals. Bitcoin was trading just below $108,000 at the time of the $61.1 Million purchase. This indicates a calculated, strategic investment rather than a speculative move.
Bitcoin Faces Persistent Resistance at $110K Zone
This massive inflow has not yet driven Bitcoin to trade above this crucial $110,000 resistance line. At press time, the price of one BTC stands at 107,982.64 USD, decreasing by 0.82% in 24 hours.
The market has been unable to maintain constant closes beyond 110K over the past several weeks. This is, despite numerous intraday breakouts.
Since mid-May 2025, Bitcoin’s Golden Cross has faced repeated resistance around the $110K–$112K range. Each attempt has been rejected, often marked by long upper wicks and declining volume on green candles.
The ascending resistance band, red in the chart, is a powerful overhead supply area. Failure to overcome this band indicates that sellers are defending these tops. To sustain a bullish position, it is imperative that bulls close above $110K and show some volume as well.

Internal market data indicate that there is no conviction yet. The current condition of the volume oscillator is -20.39%. This means that the trading volume of the recent sessions is lower than the 10-period average.
The declining volume momentum signals weak buying interest despite whales making large purchases. Current price levels aren’t attracting strong demand. The gap between buying and selling volume, known as volume delta, is nearly flat.
This flat pattern shows that aggressive buying isn’t dominating the market. Large purchases appear sporadic rather than part of a broader accumulation trend.
Bitcoin’s TVL Jumps 19.3% to $6.4 Billion
Despite price resistance, Total Value Locked (TVL) across protocols has sharply risen. It now stands at $6.4 Billion, showing a strong recovery. Artemis data confirms a +19.3% increase in TVL.
This indicates growing investor confidence and protocol usage. This reflects the capital invested in decentralized applications and Layer 2 solutions in BTC.
The rising Total Value Locked (TVL) shows higher demand for BTC in staking protocols. Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is gaining traction across DeFi platforms. Cross-chain environments are contributing to this growth.
These factors highlight expanding BTC utility beyond traditional trading. This is after a sharp downfall in April when TVL dipped to below $4 Billion.
Since May, Bitcoin has seen steady growth in broader usage. Institutions and retail investors increasingly view it as more than just a store of value.

Bitcoin’s renewed on-chain utility is strengthening its role in DeFi. Long-term bullish patterns are shaping a positive market outlook.
The ongoing recovery provides favorable conditions for ecosystem growth. These developments could enhance Bitcoin’s influence and visibility in the DeFi space.
