Binance has begun taking actions against users exploring its Alpha program for fraudulent gains, according to reports shared by users on X (formerly Twitter).
On Nov. 24, an X user known as CryptoBraveHQ disclosed that Binance has begun pursuing and recovering these improper profits. This follows Binance’s initial action of banning over 600 accounts for engaging in bot-farming activities.
Binance Continues Efforts to Curtail the Alpha Platform Exploit
Screenshots shared by CryptoBraveHQ show that the actions have impacted multiple airdrop hunter accounts. He explained that some of the accounts, allegedly linked to a studio, have had assets exceeding 10,000 USDT frozen.
Approximately $14,457 worth of USDT has been frozen in one account, with a debt of $ 10,525 USDT on another. Notifications on the screenshot indicate that Binance cited “improperly obtaining airdrops via violations on the Alpha platform”.
The accounts’ suspected link to a studio suggests that the airdrop alpha exploit may be more established than presumed. This implies that the exploit may be part of a greater coordinated effort.

Binance co-founder He Yi noted that ordinary users are not affected by the freezing actions. Yi’s statement suggests that the exchange is targeting the clawback towards users who have been found guilty of the exploit.
The Binance Alpha platform shines a spotlight on early-stage Web3 projects, enabling users to gain pre-listing access to promising tokens. Consequently, the platform has scored significant success with its trading volume surpassing $123 billion.
However, the platform’s operations have been marked by allegations of coordinated bot farming, causing the exchange to take action.
Binance Banned Over 600 Accounts
Last month, Binance shut down more than 600 user accounts for using bot farms to manipulate Alpha’s reward structure.
The users reportedly deployed bots to farm Alpha points, which are used to determine access to token sales and airdrops. The automation enabled these actors to dominate allocations that were intended to be distributed more evenly.
Binance’s action followed a Bubblemaps report on coordinated farming on ChainOpera, a BNB Chain project. The report revealed that a single group allegedly controlled half of the top-earning wallets, generating approximately $13 million.
Meanwhile, the account prescriptions came as part of an upgrade to Binance’s monitoring tools and feedback channels. The exchange stated that its new system will allow users to flag suspicious accounts. If verified, users will receive up to 50% of any funds recovered from the culprits.
The reports are expected to include verifiable data, such as screenshots, wallet details, or IP addresses, to qualify for review.
Alpha Trade Volume Faces Decline
Amid these incidents, Dune Analytics data shows that trading volumes on Binance’s Alpha platform have declined significantly.
The dashboard, compiled by Night Walker, indicates that the trade volume has decreased notably since October 10, 2025. On November 23, the platform recorded a total trading volume of only $58.14 million. This represents Alpha’s lowest daily trade volume since April, indicating it is now at a 7-month low.
Similarly, the transaction volume on the platform has also fallen immensely during this period. This implies that the platform may be experiencing a downturn in activities largely due to the ongoing clampdown.
