Coinbase stock price continued its strong downward trend this year and is now hovering at its lowest level since May last year. It has dropped by over 50% from its 2025 low, lowering its market capitalization from over $90 billion to $57 billion. This article explores whether it will rebound and hit $345 as analysts expect.
Wall Street Analysts Believe that Coinbase Stock Price Will Hit $345
The ongoing Coinbase stock price crash has occurred despite Wall Street analysts remaining bullish on the company.
Data compiled by Yahoo Finance shows that analysts’ average estimate is that Coinbase’s stock price will jump to $345, up 62% from the current level.

In a statement, analysts at HC Wainwright raised their target to $425, while Needham raised its target to $400. Other analysts, including JMP Securities, Rosenblatt, and Oppenheimer, have raised their estimates to over $400.
Analysts are citing the company’s market share in the crypto industry, its expansion into tokenized stock trading, and its prediction markets. Also, analysts note that its valuation is more attractive than its peak last year.
Why Coinbase Share Price Has Crashed
COIN stock price has crashed because of the ongoing crypto market plunge, which has affected Bitcoin and most altcoins. Bitcoin has failed to move below the important support level at $90,000, while the market capitalization of all coins has dropped from last year’s high of over $4.2 trillion to $3 trillion.
Crypto exchanges like Coinbase and Binance do well when the crypto market is booming as this normally leads to more activity and fee income. In most cases, their revenues and profitability drop when tokens are in a strong downward trend. This also explains why other similar stocks like Gemini and Bullish have plunged.
Coinbase stock price has also crashed because of the progress on the CLARITY Act, which stalled in the Senate Banking Committee. The bill stalled in Congress after Coinbase withdrew its support, citing its stablecoin yield provisions and the fact that it may ban its stock tokenization.
Analysts Expect Coinbase Earnings Growth to Slow
Data compiled by Yahoo Finance shows that Coinbase’s business will remain under pressure in the coming quarters.
The average analyst estimate is that its revenue growth in the fourth quarter dropped 17% to $1.86 billion. If this happens, the annual revenue will come in at $7.2 billion.
The average estimate is that its earnings per share (EPS) will come in at $7.81, down from $9.48 in 2024. Also, analysts expect EPS to come in at $6.65 this year as its business deteriorates.
The company is facing major challenges, including rising competition from SoFi, Charles Schwab, and Robinhood. It is also facing competition from perpetual exchange companies like Lighter, Hyperliquid, and Aster.
COIN Stock Price Technical Analysis
The daily timeframe chart shows that the COIN share price has crashed in the past few months. It has dropped from a high of $402 in October to the current $213. It moved below the key support level at $224, its lowest level in December, invalidating the double-bottom pattern.
The stock is nearing the 78.60% Fibonacci Retracement level. Also, the stock remains below all moving averages and the Supertrend indicator.
Also, the Average Directional Index (ADX) has risen to 18 and is pointing upwards, a sign that the uptrend is gaining momentum.
Therefore, the most likely Coinbase stock forecast is bearish, with the next key target being at $200. A drop below that level will point to more downside, potentially to last April’s low of $145.

The bearish outlook will remain as long as crypto prices remain in a strong downward trend, which is likely to continue now that Bitcoin has formed a bearish flag pattern.
