Whale Activity Hits 5-Month High, Analyst Sees LINK Price at $100

Chainlink is once again getting strong market attention. Whale wallets are scooping up LINK tokens in big numbers. Their activity on the Chainlink blockchain has hit a five-month high as the LINK price inches to $9.

Market experts think the LINK token may have bottomed out. They are expecting a $100 rally.

Chainlink Whale Activity Hits 5-Month High

In the last 24 hours, Chainlink whale activity shot up significantly, with 246 transactions worth more than $100K. Blockchain analytics firm Santiment reported it. In the last five months, this is the highest number of daily large transactions on the network.

The increase also coincides with growing holdings among major LINK investors. Wallets holding between 100,000 and 10 million LINK now control approximately 466.31 million tokens. That represents 46.57% of LINK’s total supply.

Santiment noted that these large holders have historically shown a close relationship with LINK price movements.

The increased whale activity comes as Chainlink continues expanding across CCIP, tokenized assets, stablecoins, institutional data, and cross-chain infrastructure. Thus, it plays a major role in on-chain financial transactions.

Is Chainlink Price Ready for Bottom Formation?

As per crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe, the current Chainlink price setup presents an “opportunity of a lifetime.” Van de Poppe said he previously identified $6 as an accumulation level and continues to stand by that view.

According to the analyst, LINK is moving to the upside. At the same time, bullish divergences across the 3-day, weekly, and daily charts suggest further gains could follow.

Van de Poppe identified $11 and $15 as his first key upside targets. He expects LINK price could reach $11 within roughly a month, while the move toward $15 may take longer. The analyst added that the recent price action suggests LINK may have already formed a market bottom.

Additionally, crypto analyst Daan Crypto Trades said Chainlink price has returned to its highest-volume node. He noted that LINK has shown relative strength recently. However, a move above $8.90 is needed to break the local high and potentially trigger further upside.

Daan added that LINK has historically performed well when the broader crypto market establishes a higher-timeframe local bottom. Thus, the LINK token is eyeing a potential recovery.

Analyst Eyes Long-Term LINK Price at $100

Another analyst, Crypto Patel, believes the Chainlink price could be eyeing a long-term target of $100. According to Patel, LINK is currently trading within a bullish order flow. He considers it one of the strongest long-term accumulation zones on the chart.

Patel said a confirmed higher-timeframe close above $10.87 could trigger a structural expansion toward $25, $50, and $100.

The analyst identified a higher-timeframe close below $4.761 as the invalidation level for his bullish setup. He added that a sustained move above $10.87 would shift LINK’s market structure decisively bullish.

Chainlink is increasingly being used across tokenized assets, cross-chain finance, and institutional settlement. Some of the top global financial players, like DTCC, JPMorgan, and CME, as well as Robinhood, OKX, Aave, and BitGo, are using the Chainlink infrastructure.

The growing institutional adoption has also attracted attention from Standard Chartered. The bank recently highlighted Chainlink’s long-term potential, particularly if tokenization expands rapidly through 2030.
