- The Notcoin price has dropped significantly in recent months, losing nearly 75% from its peak.
- Network activity has declined, suggesting a loss of interest from users.
- The future of Notcoin crypto appears uncertain, with technical and on-chain indicators pointing to a potential decline.
Notcoin (NOT), a tap-to-earn game, has faced significant challenges in the crypto market, causing investors’ concerns. The Notcoin price has plummeted nearly 75% from its peak over the past four months.
In the last 30 days, the token has fallen 42%. Even this week, while the broader market was green, the token’s price dropped by 6%.
Despite the optimism surrounding Bitcoin‘s rally, the Notcoin price hasn’t mirrored this positive trend. Additionally, significant news from the Federal Reserve did not impact its value. However, Notcoin is now at a crucial level that has previously shown potential for movement.
This article delves into the reasons behind Notcoin crypto’s struggles and the future of this cryptocurrency.
Bearish Momentum Rising In Notcoin Price
According to Coinglass, NOT’s OI-weighted funding rates have dropped to a positive 0.0039%. This indicated a shift toward increased market pessimism.

Similarly, Notcoin crypto’s open interest has decreased to $118.89 Million, a 1% decline from the previous session. The 24-hour long/short ratio was 0.9283, showing more long positions than short ones.
In the past 24 hours, derivatives volume has fallen by 16%, with the total traded value now at $323.11 million. It reflected reduced demand for NOT crypto in the derivatives market.

Additionally, $69.48K worth of short positions were opened, while $593.66K in long positions were liquidated intraday. This scenario suggested a pessimistic outlook for the Notcoin price in the near future.
Declining Network Activity in NOT Crypto: A Major Concern
The on-chain metrics suggested a challenging future for the Notcoin price. Network activity has declined, dropping new addresses from a September peak of 54.03K to 18.04K. This indicated a waning interest in the Notcoin ecosystem.
More concerning is the drop in active addresses, which have fallen from a September high of 101.2K to 50.44K. This decline signaled that even existing users of the NOT crypto are losing interest. This can be alarming to the long-term viability of the cryptocurrency.
This decrease in user activity has also affected transaction volumes. Since September 3, the number of transactions on the Notcoin network has consistently declined, staying below 100,000 last week. On September 20, transaction volume was 64.32K, showing a significant drop in user participation.

Similarly, transaction volume, around 31.5 billion NOT tokens in August, has plummeted to 1.6 billion a month later.
The number of zero balance holders has surged to 4.07 billion. This indicated widespread profit-taking or swapping with other tokens, also reflected in the price chart.

There is a glimmer of hope as the number of addresses holding NOT tokens has increased. However, it is not significant enough to offset the sell-off.
Additionally, if no positive catalyst emerges soon, the Notcoin price may continue to decline, erasing its previous gains.
Notcoin Price Prediction: Is There Any Hope Left In Notcoin Price?
The Notcoin price was trading just above its $0.0070 support level but beneath dynamic EMA bands (20-day and 50-day). Since June, the token has been trapped in a falling wedge pattern, repeatedly testing lower resistance levels.
If the lower-low spree continues, the next significant support is around $0.0046. Falling below this could lead to further declines.
Looking at Q3, Notcoin crypto has been consolidating between $0.0070 and $0.0084 throughout September after a seamless decline. Although there was a brief surge to $0.0079 on September 17, it was quickly rejected. This continued its downward trend under a descending resistance line.
The price action has been confined to this September consolidation, and a breakout in either direction could trigger a rally.
However, the token will likely remain under pressure without a clear catalyst to spark buying interest. Investors hoping for a resurgence may need patience as technical and on-chain indicators continue to show a bearish outlook. They must avoid FOMO and DYOR.
