- The Ripple Swell conference speakers discussed massive asset tokenization on XRPL, projecting $30-$50 Trillion.
- After the SEC lawsuit, the expectation of an XRP ETF can be increased if appeals are not filed before October 7.
The SEC has a few days to file an appeal against the most recent court decision, which has sparked interest in XRP among investors. In addition, the Ripple company is getting ready for a restless month as it gets ready for the annual Swell conference, which takes place in October.
According to Rector, two weeks are left to file an appeal, and the multi-year litigation is approaching its dramatic climax. The rector claims that the protracted legal dispute will be formally closed. It can happen if no appeals are filed by the SEC and Ripple on or before the deadline.
Stablecoin Launch Before the Swell Conference
As the case nears its conclusion, Rector listed three noteworthy developments that might happen between now and the April Ripple Swell meeting.
Representing blockchain and finance, the Ripple Swell Conference is an annual gathering of notable executives from around the globe. Since its initial launch in 2017, this conference has expanded in scope and significance. It began in 2019. This year, the Swell Conference is set to take place in Miami, Florida, from October 15–16.
This platform aims to compile thoughtful and in-depth discussions about the creation and administration of cryptocurrencies. Additionally, investigating their use in global trade is important. Attendees can expect lively discussions about blockchain advancements and XRP acceptance.
Between now and the Swell conference, Rector believes Ripple will launch its eagerly awaited stablecoin (RLUSD). It is noteworthy that Ripple has advanced significantly in bringing the stablecoin to the main net.
The USD-pegged stablecoin is beta testing on the Ethereum and XRP Ledger networks. After the mainnet is deployed, all users—including retail clients—will have access to the stablecoin.
Expectations of an XRP ETF
During the Swell conference, an XRP ETF announcement can be made per the Rector’s indication. The SEC has approved the launch of spot-based ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Since then, there have been rumors that top asset managers may launch a comparable offering for XRP.
As Grayscale’s XRP Trust gains traction, a Spot XRP ETF might debut soon. Above all, the market is starting to get excited about the potential of an XRP Spot ETF.
Given how well XRP Trust was introduced, Greyscale may be preparing to support an ETF. Consequently, it would be simpler to attract and retain investors for XRP.
An XRP ETF will increase XRP’s price and acceptance when introduced to the market. Prominent asset management companies might soon apply to the SEC to list a brand-new ETF linked to the XRP token. The trial is anticipated to conclude if neither party files an appeal by October 7.
Furthermore, the XRP source hinted that Ripple might reveal more significant news at the Ripple Swell conference. The news could include important collaborations centered around asset tokenization on XRPL.
He brought up the bold predictions by conference presenter Rodford earlier this year. The XRPL might tokenize assets worth between $30 and $50 trillion globally.
