Key Insights
- Stellar price trades near $0.2806 after breaking below key support and 0.618 Fibonacci level at $0.274.
- Bollinger Bands tighten, with RSI at 35.07, signaling weakening momentum and a potential breakout setup.
- Coinglass data shows rising liquidations on both sides, highlighting high leverage and indecision in the XLM market.
Stellar (XLM) has been trading under pressure after losing a key support level that held since mid-April. As the broader crypto market consolidates, traders are closely watching whether the steller price can recover above $0.29 and retest the $0.30 barrier. Currently trading near $0.2806, Stellar could attract fresh buying if it maintains this zone.
Stellar Price Breaks Below Trendline Support
The steller price recently dropped below an ascending channel that guided its move since mid-April. This shift brought it under the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level near $0.274, indicating a structural change in momentum. Though the price has recovered slightly to around $0.286, it remains below major resistance levels and shows limitedupside traction.
Technical indicators suggest caution. Bollinger Bands are tightening, which often points to a potential breakout. The upper band sits near $0.3079, while the lower band supports at $0.2749. The RSI stands at 35.07, reflecting weak buying strength. Meanwhile, the MACD histogram is slightly negative, with both MACD and signal lines trending downward, showing persistent bearish pressure.

Short-term resistance is forming at the 9-EMA ($0.2845) and the Triple Exponential Moving Average.($0.2797). A sustained close above these averages may clear the way toward $0.30. If bulls can reclaim $0.29, the next resistance lies between $0.30 and $0.31. On the downside, if $0.2749 fails to hold, the steller price may drop toward $0.26 or even test lower Fibonacci support near $0.243.
Liquidation Trends Show Mixed Market Sentiment
According to Coinglass data, liquidation trends remain elevated across both long and short positions. This reflects uncertainty among traders as the market shows no clear trend. From late April to mid-May, long positions were frequently liquidated during sharp price declines, pointing to excessive bullish bets.
Around May 13 to May 15, a spike in liquidations aligned with a rise in volatility. Most recently, on May 23 and May 25, both long and short liquidations increased, showing that traders on both sides are struggling to predict short-term movements. This adds to the indecision surrounding the current steller price.

Many traders are now scaling back leverage or staying on the sidelines while waiting for a confirmed trend. This cautious stance is visible in reduced trading volume across several exchanges. Without clear direction, price movement is likely to remain choppy and reactionary to broader signals.
Stellar Price Eyes $0.30 As Key Resistance
According to Ali Chart, If the price holds above the current level near $0.2806, the next target is the 9-EMA at $0.2845. A break above this level could act as an early signal for short-term recovery. Reclaiming $0.29 is critical for building momentum toward the $0.30–$0.31 resistance area.
A move above $0.30 would also put the steller price back above its previous trendline and re-establish a bullish structure. This would likely invite more traders back into the market, especially if confirmed by a strong bullish candle.

However, if the price slips below $0.275, it may lead to further downside. In that case, support at $0.263 and possibly $0.243 could be tested, especially if broader market volatility increases.
Broader Market Conditions Stay Neutral
Stellar has suffered a recent setback, yet the entire cryptocurrency market is holding up. With crypto showing little main direction, Stellar and other altcoins have not received much outside support.
As long as there isn’t much movement in the overall market, the price of Stellar could have difficulty going past its current range. It helps explain why XLM is showing a sideways movement and very little volatility.
Increased crypto liquidity is being suggested by analysts as a way to shore up market sentiment. As these conditions are not met yet, the technical situation for Stellar is weighing down. It is unlikely that most traders will dive into new long positions until they have clear confirmation.
