A deepening rift has emerged in the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance after analysts flagged suspicious movements linked to Ocean Protocol.
Data from blockchain tracker Bubblemaps shows that over $191 million worth of Fetch.AI (FET) tokens were swapped and redistributed by Ocean Protocol shortly after its abrupt exit. The transactions triggered questions about transparency and the fate of alliance-held assets.
Rift Widens After Ocean Protocol’s Exit From ASI Alliance
Fetch.AI’s founder, Humayun Sheikh, accused Ocean Protocol of actions that caused “significant harm” to FET holders. He claimed the transfers created heavy market pressure and eroded trust among investors.

“These decisions have not only destabilized trust but also inflicted losses on community members,” Sheikh said in a recent post.
The allegations come months after the ASI merger united Fetch.AI, Ocean Protocol, and SingularityNET (AGIX) under a shared AI token framework. Ocean’s sudden departure has now cast uncertainty on the alliance’s stability and governance structure.
Bubblemaps Traces Large Transfers to Binance and GSR
According to Bubblemaps’ data, Ocean Protocol transferred 90 million FET to OTC provider GSR Markets and distributed another 196 million FET across 30 new wallets.
Between late August and mid-October, approximately 270 million FET were directed to Binance and GSR Markets, a pattern typically associated with token sales.
While Bubblemaps clarified it cannot confirm liquidation, it noted the on-chain behavior “is consistent with sell-side activity.”
The tokens were initially part of a pool reserved for “community incentives” and “data mining.” Their conversion and redistribution have triggered backlash from within the alliance.
The controversy soon spread to major exchanges. Binance temporarily paused OCEAN deposits, citing “network instability and uncertainty” within the ASI ecosystem.
The suspension fueled speculation about Ocean’s internal governance and transparency after the disputed transfers. Following the revelations, OCEAN fell nearly 12% in hours, while FET and AGIX also dipped amid selling pressure.
Fetch.ai Founder Ends $250K Bounty, Promises Transparency After Investigation
In a new update, Fetch.ai founder confirmed the conclusion of its $250,000 investigation bounty, launched to gather information on the incident. Sheikh stated.
“Thank you to all contributors who provided valuable insights and data throughout the OceanDAO investigation bounty.”
“We have now received all the necessary information required to advance with complete transparency and accountability.”
He stated that rewards will be distributed to verified contributors, and no further submissions are required. Sheikh also pledged to restore community confidence after weeks of tension.
Still, reactions remain divided. Some users praised Fetch.ai transparency drive, while others questioned whether decentralized governance alone can prevent future conflicts. For now, Ocean’s leadership faces growing pressure to demonstrate accountability as the fallout from the Alliance continues to weigh on the broader AI-token sector.
