Bitcoin treasury company Strategy has pledged to donate $250 annually. They will deposit it into the Trump account of eligible children of their US employees. The firm disclosed this on August 5, noting that it will back the President Trump initiative by joining the Invest America Business Pledge.
With the move, the company joins a growing list of firms that have pledged to support Trump Accounts. Morgan Stanley, Coinbase, Robinhood, Goldman Sachs and Circle have all made similar pledges.
Strategy to Match US Government $1,000 Contribution for Eligible Newborn
According to the Strategy’s announcement, it will match the one-time $1,000 contribution from the US government for American children. They should be born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028.
However, it intends to extend beyond the seed fund with annual contributions for all eligible children. The company stated it has already informed employees and will share enrolment details with eligible ones.
Trump Accounts, officially known as 530A accounts, are tax-deferred investment accounts for children. President Trump introduced it with the Big Beautiful Bill. Children born between 2025 and 2028 get a one-time contribution of $1000 from the US government to the account.
Contributions to the account can be up to $5,000 annually, with companies allowed to contribute on behalf of employees’ children. The funds are locked until the child turns 18, when the account converts to a regular individual retirement account.
Strategy framed the move as a reflection of its conviction in long-term ownership of appreciating assets. According to its CEO, Phong Le, the goal of Trump Accounts aligns with Strategy’s values and optimism about the future.
“These accounts can encourage financial education, long-term thinking, and a culture of saving and investing from an early age,” Le added.
Strategy Says It Aims to Return STRC to $100 Amid Bitcoin Sales
Meanwhile, Strategy has said that its corporate objective is to return its preferred stock STRC to $100. STRC, which is designed to trade at $100, fell to $74 in late June, triggering the firm to pause its Bitcoin purchase and shift towards selling.
Since then, Strategy has already sold over 5,000 BTC, making more than $300 million. Under its capitalization framework, it could raise to $1.5 billion from selling Bitcoin.
So far, the approach is working with STRC, now trading around $94. The firm has also increased its USD reserves to over $4 billion.

According to the chairman, Michael Saylor, it took 70 trading days after the IPO for STRC to reach $100. Also, only 40 days have passed since it depegged.
Saylor noted that part of the plan to return STRC to par is a $1 billion stock buyback. However, he suggested that the company could sell more Bitcoin if that is required.
