Market analysts and traders are closely watching some key economic data scheduled for release this week. These data include the U.S. Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) Annual Revisions, scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The next economic data on the radar is the Producer Price Index (PPI), scheduled for release on September 10. This will be followed by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decision, scheduled for September 11.
CPI nd PPI to Test Crypto Market Sentiment
The CPI tracks the average change over time in consumer prices for goods and services. It is also a key indicator of inflation.
Inflation above the Fed’s 2% target could dampen expectations for interest rate cuts, strengthen the dollar, and push down crypto prices. Conversely, lower consumer price index readings could reinforce expectations for Fed rate cuts and push up crypto prices.
In July, the US CPI annual inflation increased to 2.7%, below the expected 2.8%. This data quickly raised the odds of a rate cut for September 17 to 94.2%.
Additionally, the U.S. PPI measures the average change in prices that domestic producers receive for their goods and services.

Generally, a higher-than-expected PPI is negative for cryptocurrencies, as higher interest rates reduce liquidity for risky assets.
Conversely, a weak PPI could ease inflation concerns, increase risk appetite, and support crypto prices.
Another key data point for this week is the U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) annual revisions.
The NFP report measures employment growth in the US, excluding farmworkers and certain sectors.
Annual revisions adjust previous data, which can change the perception of labor market strength.
Worsening labor market conditions might push the Federal Reserve toward interest rate reductions to prevent a deeper slowdown.
This scenerio played out following the release of a weak U.S. jobs report in August. Notably, Bitcoin (BTC) price bounced back to $114,000 on August 4 after falling to $112,300 that weekend.
Jobs Data and ECB Policy to Shape Crypto Market Prices
Furthermore, market participants are watching September 11 as the expected date for the ECB’s next rate decision.
The ECB sets monetary policy for the Eurozone and targets a 2% inflation rate. The decision of the ECB can affect global markets, including the prices of cryptocurrencies.
A dovish ECB decision could weaken the euro and increase global liquidity, supporting cryptocurrencies. This is especially true if paired with U.S. Federal Reserve rate cut expectations.
In contrast, a hawkish stance could strengthen the euro and reduce risk appetite, potentially leading to declines in crypto prices.
Moreover, September has historically been a volatile month for Bitcoin. Thus, this week, combining NFP revisions, PPI, CPI, and ECB decisions may cause crypto price fluctuations.
At press time, Bitcoin is hovering around $111,936, up 0.9% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap data. Ethereum also surged slightly by 0.5% to $4,316, with trading volume pegged at $22.3 billion.
Analyst’s Take on Incoming Economic Data
Market analyst Nouman on X emphasized the impact of the U.S. PPI and CPI on Federal Reserve policy.
The analyst noted that the market is in a long-term uptrend. However, Nouman highlighted short-term catalysts that could drive volatility.

These range from ongoing tensions between President Donald Trump and the Fed, the broader economic landscape, inflation dynamics, and tariffs.
Political pressures, such as Trump criticizing the Fed’s independence, could create uncertainty. Additionally, tariffs may increase input costs, contributing to inflation and influencing the Fed’s decisions.
Nouman further hinted at signals from rising gold prices and movements in bond yields. Typically, gold rises with inflation concerns, while bond yields can signal market expectations for interest rates.
The analyst also provides a Line-in-the-Sand (LIS) for the S&P 500 index at the Friday lows of over $6,460.
If the S&P 500 holds above this LIS and inflation data comes in softer than expected, the market could rally to test $6500.
Softer inflation and the weak August 2025 Non-Farm Payrolls could strengthen expectations for a Fed rate cut, supporting equities and crypto.
