Bitcoin has broken into the fear zone as investor sentiment sours across the crypto market. With BTC price still sitting below $110,000, traders are watching their backs for volatility in the next couple of weeks. Analysts caution that Bitcoin‘s next move could spell the difference between the top cryptocurrency bouncing back to bullish momentum or facing a deeper correction before doing so.
Bitcoin Price Sinks to Fear Territory as Market Uncertainty
Bitcoin price has once again entered the “fear” zone, causing a mixed reaction among traders and analysts. Market sentiment has sunk to a level of 22 on the Fear and Greed Index, indicating a shift towards caution after several weeks of selling pressure.

Since mid-October, BTC price has fallen below $107,000, losing near-term momentum and testing key support levels. The downward movement is a continuation of downward highs, and analysts are closely observing whether the leading cryptocurrency can continue its structural uptrend.
Historically, periods of fear have been strong accumulations for long-term investors. Every time the RSI dropped under 25 between 2023 and 2024, it was followed by a huge price recovery. However, the next move is crucial due to the rising uncertainty in geopolitical risks and the shrinking ETF inflows, which have made many traders increasingly uncertain.
Explosive Rallies Have Come from Fear Zones
Analyst Javon Marks believed the present market conditions are similar to several previous bullish reversals. He added that there were similar fear readings in March 2023, September 2023, and April 2024, and they all preceded major rallies.
In March 2023, Bitcoin was valued at around $20,000 and, in a matter of a few weeks, it increased to $30,000. By September, fear was back, but the BTC price rose by over 180% to $73,000. He further noted that prices effectively bounced off extreme fear levels in all cycles since November 2022.
Marks stresses that long-term investors should “buy fear and sell greed,” a theme that has held throughout 2022. Should the index continue to consolidate around current levels and risk appetite stabilize, he expects another rebound to follow.
Bitcoin Price Critical Support Shaken, Next Stop $99K
However, according to analyst Crypto Candy, Bitcoin could break below the zone of $107,000 to $108,000 confirms a major structural change. She cautioned that if BTC price fails to reclaim this area, the price could fall to the $99,000 to $100,000 range in the short term.

Furthermore, the chart showed several attempts to hold support, now resistance, being rejected. Crypto Candy stated that this zone needs to be reclaimed to nullify more downside. Otherwise, trading activity should be expected to continue to retrace to lower support levels.
Whales Continue to Accumulate in the Face of Fear
In contrast to the cautious sentiment, analyst Crypto Patel highlighted a surge in whale accumulation. More than 26,500 BTC went into long-term wallets this week, indicating that big investors see the dip as a buying opportunity.

He added that these inflows usually happen at the top of the fear, which is typically when accumulation rather than panic selling is occurring. According to CryptoQuant, accumulation addresses have been consistently rising since early October, while the volatility of the market has kept growing.
Notably, accumulation usually occurs before strong recoveries as the general market moves from fear to optimism. If history repeats, this whale activity might be the first sign of a recovery back to the $120,000 region.
