Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, added more Bitcoin to its reserves. Jack Dorsey’s company Block also increased its Bitcoin holdings, according to early reports from November 7.
Tether purchased 961 BTC, worth approximately $98.9 million, while Block Inc. acquired 290 BTC, valued at $30 million. Their new buys reflect rising institutional interest in Bitcoin this month.
Tether Increases Bitcoin BTC Reserve
In a major update, Tether, the company behind the world’s largest stablecoin, has added 961 BTC to its holdings. The purchase, valued at approximately $98.9 million, was made on November 7, 2025. The company said the move is part of its ongoing plan to strengthen its reserve assets.
It is worth mentioning that Tether has been buying Bitcoin for some time. The firm includes Bitcoin alongside Gold and other assets in its balance sheet.
This recent addition shows its continued belief that Bitcoin can serve as a reliable backing for its stablecoin, USDT. Market watchers believe that Tether’s Bitcoin buys could influence how other companies manage their reserves.

Tether may be using Bitcoin to shield its portfolio from traditional market risks. It also aims to diversify its holdings by including more crypto assets.
Tether’s growing position also supports the notion that Bitcoin is becoming an integral part of the global financial system. Many financial strategists believe that cryptocurrency is gradually assuming the role of digital collateral in futures markets.
Block Expands Bitcoin BTC Holdings
In a separate development, Jack Dorsey’s company, Block, has also increased its Bitcoin reserve. The firm purchased 290 BTC, valued at approximately $30 million, on November 7. This brought its total holdings to around 8,775 BTC.
Notably, the company’s total Bitcoin value now stands near $900 million. Block has been known for its steady support of Bitcoin.
The company uses the asset as part of its long-term investment plan. Dorsey has frequently discussed Bitcoin’s potential to create a fairer and more transparent financial system.

It is worth noting that this latest purchase shows Block’s ongoing commitment to that belief. The buy came at a time when Bitcoin was trading between $100,000 and $110,000. Despite recent market dips, Block’s action suggests that large firms are still confident in Bitcoin’s future.
Furthermore, market participants note that Block’s continued buying helps strengthen the broader market’s trust in Bitcoin. It also adds to a growing trend of public companies holding digital assets in their treasuries.
Institutional Buying Builds Market Confidence
The start of November has seen a rise in institutional Bitcoin purchases. Alongside Tether and Block, other firms such as Strategy, ARK Invest, and Fidelity have also increased their Bitcoin exposure.
Strategy purchased 397 BTC, worth approximately $45.6 million, on November 2. This pushed its total holdings to more than 641,000 BTC. This makes it the largest corporate owner of Bitcoin. The company continues to view Bitcoin as a core part of its business strategy.
Meanwhile, Michael Saylor, Strategy’s Executive Chairman, recently projected that Bitcoin could reach $150,000 by the end of the year. According to CoinMarketCap data, the largest digital asset, Bitcoin, was trading at $100,859.74. It was down 2% over the past 24 hours.
However, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan also said Bitcoin might rise further, citing strong inflows from exchange-traded funds. Market watchers think this buying activity shows that institutions are preparing for long-term involvement in the Bitcoin market.
It is worth noting that, despite short-term price drops, they appear to be focused on the asset’s potential for growth. Bitcoin’s recent performance remains steady even as volatility continues.
The consistent purchases by Tether, Block, and other firms highlight growing confidence among major investors. More institutions are adding Bitcoin to their portfolios. This trend strengthens its role as a trusted digital asset and long-term financial collateral.
