- Solana’s stablecoin supply surged 112% since January 1, reaching $11.1 Billion.
- The TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins drove network demand, pushing Solana past the BNB Chain.
- Analysts eye a potential SOL rally to $300 amid bullish indicators.
Solana stablecoin supply has surged 112% since January 1, driven by rising demand from the TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins. Analysts have predicted a potential SOL price rally to $300 as network activity intensifies.
Solana’s Stablecoin Market Booms
Solana has seen a massive 112% surge in its stablecoin supply since the start of 2024. Furthermore, it reached $11.1 Billion, according to CCData.
The surge has propelled SOL to become the third-largest blockchain in terms of stablecoin market cap. It has surpassed BNB Chain but was still trailing Ethereum and Tron.

The surge comes amid heightened demand for Donald Trump’s TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins. Those were launched on the Solana network before Trump’s January 20 inauguration. These tokens brought high trading volume, contributing to record decentralized exchange (DEX) activity.
Moonshot, the platform facilitating Trump memecoin purchases, reported over 200,000 new users entering the Solana ecosystem.

Circle’s USDC remained the dominant stablecoin on Solana, commanding 78% of the market share. At the same time, Tether’s USDT holds 12%. The strong USDC presence was notable as Tether faces regulatory pressures in Europe under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
Can SOL Price Break $300?
The SOL price has been volatile, recently trading around $234.5, a 24% increase in the past month. Moreover, the token hit a high of $294 on January 19 but has since cooled off.

Technical indicators suggested potential weakness. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovered near neutral levels, indicating neither overbought nor oversold conditions.

Meanwhile, Fibonacci retracement levels showed critical support at $230, with a breakdown likely pushing the SOL price toward $215. Analysts remained optimistic, pointing to key resistance at $246.
Marty, an analyst on X, has urged traders to accumulate Solana under $300, expecting further gains. Technical indicators, including the RSI on the 4-hour chart, showed SOL nearing oversold levels, hinting at a potential rebound.

Additionally, Coinbase Derivatives plans to introduce Solana futures contracts by February 2025. This could inject new liquidity into the market, potentially fueling a rally toward the $300 level.
Trump Memecoin Frenzy Sparks Stablecoin Demand
The launch of TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins on Solana has triggered a wave of stablecoin minting. Circle issued nearly $8 Billion in USDC in January alone, boosting its market cap by almost 20%.
The meme coin-driven liquidity inflow has contributed to Solana’s growing dominance in the stablecoin sector. Trump’s TRUMP memecoin reached a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $80 Billion shortly after launch before stabilizing around $26 Billion.
The massive inflows and trading hype surrounding these tokens have reinforced Solana’s position as a major player in the market.

With strong stablecoin demand and increasing network activity, Solana has positioned itself as a significant Ethereum competitor. If the SOL price surpasses $246, analysts predict a rally toward $300.
However, short-term price volatility remains a concern, with potential pullbacks to $230 before further upside.
