Bitcoin Price Prediction as BTC ETFs Score Best Day Since January Ahead of NFP

Bitcoin price climbed above $82,000 before retreating on Friday as stronger ETF demand and easing U.S. rate concerns supported the latest recovery.

BTC reached approximately $82,164, its highest level since May, before falling back toward $81,000. The move extended a rebound from the 2026 low near $57,776 and brought Bitcoin close to a major resistance area around $82,800.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs also recorded one of their strongest sessions this year on Thursday. Attention now shifts to the August U.S. employment report due Friday, which could affect expectations for the Federal Reserve’s Sept. 15–16 policy meeting.

Bitcoin Price Rises as ETF Inflows Hit $730.89M

Data shows that American institutional and retail investors are rushing back to Bitcoin as global risks remain. These ETFs added over $730 million in assets on Thursday, the best daily performance since January this year.

These inflows have brought the net figure this month to $592 million, a strong performance in a period when global volatility rose amid the US-Iran war and US-Canada tensions.

The funds added over $3.5 billion in assets in August, its best month this year, and much higher than the $172 million they added in July. These numbers have brought the cumulative net inflows to $55 billion, with the net assets under management (AUM) hitting $103 billion.

BlackRock’s IBIT ETF led in daily inflows on Wednesday, adding over $453 million in assets. It was followed by Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB, which added over $137 million in assets. Grayscale’s BTC ETF added $48 million, while Bitwise’s BITB added $24 million.

Bitcoin is Benefiting as Global Bond Market Cracks

BTC has held steady as signs emerge that the global bond market is cracking. In the United States, data shows that the ten-year and 30-year yields jumped to the highest level in years. As a result, the Treasury Department has intensified its interventions this month, and this trend will continue as the US debt surges.

The same debt issues are happening in other countries such as France, Japan, United Kingdom, and Germany. As a result, investors are moving to safe-haven assets, including gold, which has jumped to the highest level in months.

Bitcoin is often seen as a safe-haven asset because of how it was founded and how it works. Unlike most coins, it has a limited supply of just 21 million coins that will ever be mined. Most of them have been mined so far.

Focus now shifts to the upcoming US jobs report that comes out on Friday. Economists expect the numbers to show that the economy added between 50k and 60k jobs last month, a big reversal from July losses of 23,000.

These numbers come at a time when investors are predicting what the Federal Reserve will do this year. Some economists expect the bank will ultimately need to hike interest rates later this year since inflation has remained above the 2% level in the last five years. Bitcoin tends to underperform the market when the Fed is hiking rates.

Bitcoin Price Technicals Suggest More Upside Ahead

Technical analysis suggests that the BTC price has more upside to go. It has already jumped from a low of $57,900 in June to the current $80,928.

The coin has already formed a golden cross pattern, which happens when the 50-day and 200-day Weighted Moving Averages (WMA) cross each other. This pattern often leads to more gains as it means that the momentum is continuing.

The coin has also formed a bullish flag pattern, which is made up of a vertical line and a horizontal channel. It is now in the channel section of this pattern, which may lead to more gains. If this happens, the next key level to watch will be the psychological level of $90,000.
