Key Insights:
- Shiba Inu coin expands with multi-token and DEX integration.
- Shibarium blockchain adds scalability and token burn features.
- Long-term SHIB holders rise while short-term traders decline.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) coin continues to gain attention in the cryptocurrency sector, not solely due to price shifts but also because of growing recognition as a more technically advanced project.
Notably, crypto commentator Luis Delgado, also known as Del Crxpto, recently characterized SHIB as one of the most complex technology investments currently in the digital asset space.

Note that over the last seven days, SHIB recorded a mild downturn of 2.2%, moving from a weekly high of around $0.00001463 to a low of $0.00001431. The token’s price reached its peak around May 23 before experiencing a notable decline, later stabilizing between $0.00001435 and $0.00001450. Despite this brief drop, volatility remained low, and market attention shifted to the token’s infrastructure.
Ecosystem Expansion Adds Layers of Utility
After becoming a broader ecosystem, Shiba Inu added many useful projects to its platform. SHIB developers have added more platforms and products to what began with the SHIB token. Importantly, the ecosystem now consists of decentralized applications and blockchain infrastructure linked by a framework using multiple different tokens.
Central to this evolution is the launch of ShibaSwap in 2021, which provides users with decentralized exchange capabilities. This platform allows token swapping, liquidity farming, and staking. Supporting this, the network operates a multi-token economy comprising SHIB, BONE, TREAT, and LEASH. Each token serves a different function. For example, BONE powers governance and gas fees on the ecosystem’s blockchain, Shibarium, while TREAT is used as a reward mechanism. LEASH, meanwhile, has attracted investor interest for its scarcity and market behavior.
ShibaSwap integrates these assets and facilitates broader token interoperability, helping to establish a more structured and functional ecosystem. All tokens are listed across several exchanges, allowing for accessible trading and increased visibility. These developments support Delgado’s position that Shiba Inu has grown into a multi-layered investment with technical depth.
Layer-2 Blockchain Integration Strengthens Framework
Further reinforcing this complexity is Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 blockchain solution built on Ethereum. Released in 2023, Shibarium was designed to support the network’s entire ecosystem. Already, major ecosystem components such as ShibaSwap and the mobile game Shiba Eternity have migrated to the blockchain.
Shibarium aims to enhance scalability and reduce fees for users. Importantly, it also integrates a token burn mechanism. Part of the gas fee on every transaction conducted via Shibarium contributes to SHIB token burns. Since its deployment, more than 55 billion SHIB tokens have been burned. This function adds another operational layer to the ecosystem, linking blockchain activity with long-term supply control.
As the Shibarium network expands and sees increased usage, additional SHIB burns are expected. These current developments help the project overcome its meme coin roots which makes the project more complicated. Shibarium is an important base layer within the wider design of the Shiba Inu platform.
Will Shiba Inu Coin Delete 3 Zeros?
In line with these metrics, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, acknowledged the persistent public goal of reaching the $0.01 price mark. To reach $0.01, Shiba Inu would need to first delete 3 zeros.

She maintained that while the target remains a long-term ambition, it requires time and ongoing development. Currently, SHIB would need to eliminate three zeros to meet that valuation.
Elsewhere, she marked LEASH and SHEB as undervalued, saying they were dark horses. Due to its low supply and competitive status, LEASH has become a focus in the market. The fact that BONE helps to manage and support SHIB’s benefits makes it still very valuable for SHIB users.
On-Chain Metrics Reveal Investor Behavior Trends
In addition, information found on-chain shows where the project stands in the market. Long-term SHIB holders have seen their numbers rise steadily, according to blockchain analytics firm IntoTheBlock, since early this year. For the current reporting period, this category increased by 0.85%.

More investors seem to be deciding to hold SHIB for an extended period. In addition, the proportion of short- to mid-term holders, Cruisers and Traders, has gone down. Cruisers went down by 3.78% and traders were down by 2.15%. This shift reflects a reduction in speculative trading and signals a community leaning more toward long-term engagement.
