AAVE price continues to weaken as technical signals align with the previous breakdown cycle. The current structure is similar to an older pattern that preceded a rapid decline. Traders are keeping an eye on the next support levels as volatility grows across the market.
AAVE Price Shows Breakdown Pattern
Analyst Ali noted a strong resemblance between the current structure and a previous bear-market formation. Both have rounded tops with repeated lower highs, supported by horizontal lines tested multiple times. This similarity is cause for concern, as the former pattern brought a sharp drop once the base failed. The setup implies a risk that the same trend will repeat.

On the other hand, recent candles reveal shrinking bodies and elongated upper wicks and are indicative of weakness. Sellers continue to defend every rebound attempt, keeping the market below recovery levels.
Price is now squeezing towards the major horizontal level around $125. The structure suggests weakening momentum and an increasing breakdown probability if buyers do not intervene.
Aave Gains MiCA Approval
Aave Labs hit one of the most important regulatory milestones in the sector this year. Its “Push” service was MiCA-authorized to use regulated fiat-to-crypto ramps across the European Economic Area. Push offers euro conversions directly into supported assets, such as GHO, Aave’s native stablecoin. Conversion fees are set to 0, offering a highly competitive gateway for users entering DeFi.
Ireland has received the green light from its central bank, further solidifying its status as a European crypto-compliance hub. Other big companies, such as Kraken, recently received similar authorization in the country.
The broader stablecoin market has exceeded $300 billion in capitalization, demonstrating robust global demand. MiCA-compliant ramps provide Aave with a regulatory advantage in the market and bolster its long-term outlook for adoption.
Strong Fundamentals, Weak Price
Aave continues to show strong usage across its lending and liquidity markets. DefiLlama data indicates over $500 million of daily transaction volume. Total borrowed assets exceed $22 billion, demonstrating the protocol’s enduring dominance in on-chain credit markets. These metrics reflect continuing confidence among institutional and retail borrowers.
However, price action has moved away from fundamentals in recent weeks. The AAVE price remains below the key resistance zone that has historically supported bullish attempts. Sellers forced the market to go below $195 after repeated failures to hold higher levels.
Technical factors are still more important than fundamentals during this corrective phase. Traders are waiting for better signals before restarting buying long positions with force.
Key Levels Drive Downtrend
Crypto TXG stated that AAVE attempted to rebound from defending the $180 support. Price recovered for a time but could not break above $195, confirming continued weakness. A rejection near $225 formed another lower high, strengthening the broader bearish sequence. These moves reinforced expectations for further downside if momentum does not shift soon.

TXG called $180 the key near-term level. Losing this support leaves AAVE with $166, which is the next big demand cluster. Below $166, liquidity thins up to the $150 region. Traders believe these levels are critical to consider when determining trend direction.
A close above $195 would undermine this bearish structure and show potential recovery. Until that happens, though, downside pressure remains the dominant force shaping AAVE price.
